I most likely won’t be able to join as I won’t finish in time. But I’m really enjoying this one. Should finish it at minimum on vacation in a few weeks.
I probably won’t be watching the miniseries, as I don’t have Hulu and didn’t like the book much. But Francis McDormand seems like a brilliant choice for Olive.
Might be missing out tomorrow—wife and I have a date night lined up to go roller skating in Pinehurst at the Carolina Inn.
Oh wow I forgot it was tonight thanks for the reminder. 6:00 PM PST?
Ya typically. or later if works for folks - I appreciate summer is a much harder time for book clubs!
Sorry to have to miss tonight — I’m currently in Jackson, MS on my way back to Waco. I enjoyed this book though!
Good here any time after 6pm!
I can post a Teams link if needed.
Yes please!!
Hopefully this works

Good work team! Always feel my appreciation and understanding for a book is deepened after discussion
Next book: opening up to suggestions before collective decision. Some ideas have been brought up up-thread. Also threw out Catch-22 as a book most people read because they have to read. Figure we’ll let some time for consideration and then something will sort itself out
I’m looking forward to getting in on this next book, it’ll be my first with the book club!
No suggestions after three weeks, should we go with Catch-22? I am all for it.
Yes! Let’s do it. Second chance for folks who just read the Cole’s Notes in high school.
@Double_Bogey_Dave @OffTheDole could you update the thread title to include Joseph Heller’s Catch-22, date TBD.
Date wise I’m guessing September 21 or 28ish….
9/28 sounds like a good starting point.
On vacation and finished up Olive Kitteridge. Really enjoyed it. Felt like there could certainly be more story, which I presume Olive, Again is. Currently diving back into a book my wife bought me that had sat in my bedside table for a year so May miss. Arch 22, but we shall see.
Are Cole’s Notes the Canadian version of Cliff’s Notes?
TIL it’s Cliff’s notes and not cliff notes.
