We are in the final countdown. The first major of the RACDG GB&I 2022 season is soon to be upon us. Taking place this weekend, 36 fierce competitors will face off against each other at two Good Doctor designed courses; Reddish Vale (Course Overview | Reddish Vale Golf Club) and Cavendish (https://www.cavendishgolfclub.com/).
Format is simple. Stableford. 100% handicap. Highest point scorer wins, and potentially books a spot representing GB&I at the Roost Club Championships!

Well, the first major went without a hitch. Sort of.
Overall victor was a Mr Ryan Keaney, on his first RACDG major outing. Negotiations now begin to see if he can make the Roost Championships….

The answer, now that the original disappointment has settled a bit, is yes.
The golf is the cherry on top of the cake, but the cherry isn’t what makes the cake delicious, that’s the ingredients. And the best ingredients were all there: meeting old flockers again, the new people that were great additions to an already great group of people, the many laughs shared, and meeting my lost twin brother…
