For additional transparency, the caps were calculated by taking the low 50% of scores from S25. It’s the same handicapping system we used for the Butt Cup. On the low end was a minimum of 12 round scores posted, but nearly everyone had 20 or more. I think I posted this up-thread but I don’t expect anyone to go searching.
Heads up though, in the next week or two I am going to be clearing out the strokes gained sheet to start filling in data from the current season so I can keep up with it

I’ll leave sign ups open through the end of this weekend, then dial up a bracket and set date deadlines for each round. I know having to organize live matches against another player can be a challenge but I am hoping a 2 week window for each round is enough. Bonus if anyone decides to stream or record their matches. Also totally up to each player if they want to do in game chat, discord, live tweet it via this thread, etc. Do what works for you.
Hopefully some PvP gets the juices flowing!

I don’t think I’m eligible, but happy to play in the future once I have enough rounds under my belt, or help fill out a bracket now and play off a 0. It does essentially give someone a first round bye, but… it’s better than an actual bye!

If this one works out I’d love to run it back with the season 26 handicaps! If we end up with an odd number I’ll have to see what the most fair way to do things is. Options include a handicapped stroke play round to narrow it down, but I’ll have to think about that. I could do bracket seeding either randomly, or maybe it does make sense to reward the best players and seed in order with low caps first, in which case the 1 seed gets the bye/tune up match if you want to get some reps

I want @Broth straight up if they’re in. My true arch nemesis in the C-Suite currently. I just can’t seem to one up em. Feel like it’d be a sick match and we’re both at a nice tidy 7 right now.

Gonna give more time to get the last couple scores posted, but we’re gonna get the match play going! Bracket is linked below, the date ranges for each match are at the top. If you are having scheduling issues and need an extension, please let me know. I’m not going to tag all players but if you signed up, you’re in.
Round 1: 7/29 - 8/11
Round of 8: 8/12 - 8/25
Quarter final: 8/26 - 9/8
Semi Final: 9/9 - 9/22
Final: 9/23 - 10/6
A few points:
- the match venues are up to the players, as long as both players are in agreement play whichever one you want, as long as it’s handicap rated in the game.
- The game doesn’t have the concept of customizing handicap strokes, so there will be some manual aspect to the scoring. If you view the course scorecard, you can work out the hole handicaps so you know what holes get strokes.
- Handicapping is going to be off the low player - refer to the Player List in the spreadsheet. So if one player is a 2, and the other is an 8, the higher cap will get 6 strokes during the match.
- Feel free to stream it, set up Discord chat, in game, DM here, live tweet it in the thread, whatever the players are comfortable with for their matches.
- Have fun!
If there is anything I can assist with logistically, let me know. First time setting this up so we’ll learn from any issues that come up and be better for it moving forward.
