Anyone know why +0.02 Rhythm is +4.37% Power here but sometimes it’s much less extra power?
Are you on legend difficulty? That seems really high for the scale of that miss. I’m taking a few swipes on the driving range on master difficulty and seeing between +1.5ish to +2 power for a +0.02s miss. Looks like it matters how close the contact, transition, and swing path are.
Was playing TGC for practice and VC (still need to try and qualify). I don’t think I’ve ever seen that big of a +power from such a small rhythm difference until tonight so I guess it could be a glitch?
I think honestly it could just be the game not showing the proper calculation for time. I’m getting +0.02s and the swing feedback circles are much closer together than in your screenshot. Swung really fast and still only said +0.02s but it turned red and gave me +3.something power
Doing some wacky fantasy courses for the in between seasons events just for fun, if anyone has one they want to see let me know. I’m also going to be gone this Friday-Sunday so I’ll plan on scheduling out some stuff in advance this week.
TOUR INFORMATION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Welcome new and returning players, this will be the information post for our second season on 2K25, and 26th overall dating back through TGC. The new season is scheduled to begin on 7/8/2025 with our 10 week season.
If you played last season, you’re already flighted. Promos have already been accounted for, which would include the regular season flight winners being bumped up. If you see something that looks amiss, please let me know.
If you were on the sign up sheet but did not post a score, you are not currently in a flight. You can use any of the regular season events to qualify, you will be assigned a flight based on your scores in relation to the rest of the field.
Below is the Season 26 spreadsheet, if you intend to play please sign up by adding your Refuge handle to the Flight Status-Player List tab. We will have a qualifying event to get everyone sorted into flights, keep reading for info below.
General Information:
- Tournaments are completed in the game society called NLU Refuge Tour. The society is cross-platform, so Playstation, Xbox, and PC are all included.

- Please post your scores in the appropriate tab for each tournament, in the correct flight.
- If your Refuge username doesn’t appear in the drop down list check that it is entered on the flight status tab and that you have completed qualifying (if there is still a problem shoot Jeff_M a message)
- All rounds should be played in the society tournaments unless otherwise stated.
- Battlefield flight promotion after 3 wins is in effect through the whole season. A battlefield promo will start T1 on points in the new flight.
- Events run Tuesday to Sunday, Mondays are maintenance days for flighting new players and to update season points. See the Schedule tab in the spreadsheet for the full season schedule with dates for each event.
- Tie breakers for 1st place in each flight are (in order): Final round score, penultimate round score.
- The Butt Cup at the end of the regular season is a full field event which is handicapped based on season performance.
- In order to qualify for the Butt Cup, you must have posted a minimum of 24 individual round scores. This requirement is to meet the minimum number of rounds to calculate a representative handicap. So, even if you don’t finish an event, it is in your best interest to post scores from any rounds you did complete. The Commissioner has the right to push through any players who are close to the 24 round threshold but haven’t met it.
- Flights will reshuffle at the conclusion of the season based on the season-long strokes gained metric. Qualification for the Butt Cup is the threshold to be eligible for the reshuffle, otherwise you will remain in the same flight.
- Regular season points winners from each of the lower flights earns an automatic promotion to the next flight for the next season.
Prizes for the podium places of the Butt Cup are custom stamped ballmarkers courtesy of @Jeff_M. This is a very low stakes thing, let’s just have some fun.
*Note: The Commissioner (Jeff_M) is not eligible for prizes. If he places on the podium of the Butt Cup, the prize will be pushed to the next eligible player.
Tour Player Rules:
- No chipping on greens unless your path to the hole is impeded by rough, sand, etc. or you are further away than the max putter distance.
- If you do not post a score in the spreadsheet for an event, it will be deemed a DNF.
- Use your best judgement and don’t be a scumbag.
New players joining mid-season:
- Qualifying is open through the season, sign up by adding your name to the Flight Status - Player List tab in the spreadsheet. The current event will serve as your qualifying.
- First, find the society in game called NLU Refuge Tour.
- Take note of the difficulty settings so you know what to expect. You can find this info on the Difficulty Settings tab in the spreadsheet
- Take note of the Rules, you can also find a tab for this in the spreadsheet
- Play the current event and post your scores as a Qualifier to the appropriate event tab.
you will be flighted depending on your finishing position in the event.
Last note here, the in game society events run on GMT, they start at midnight GMT and end at 1am GMT. Just pay attention to this and the dates on the Schedule to ensure you don’t miss playing an event.
Moving this to the bottom of the post now that most players have gotten going in the game, but I want to provide some resources for players still learning the 2K25 swing and systems.
- Consumable golf balls are not allowed for Refuge Tour events. I recommend getting used to the stock golf ball and not spending VC on golf balls, if you intend to spend most of your time playing online/societies.
- We WILL be using Swing Bias in our society, along with Pro swing difficulty. Full settings are in the spreadsheet for reference.
- I recommend practicing the new swing by using the Perfect Swing setting in the game, then play career rounds. Tweak other settings as you see fit to get your XP multiplier. You will still be able to see the swing feedback meter to see how close you are, but can do so without worrying about the misses.
- Swing stick only, no 3 click.
- For those getting started or trying to level up players, go to the quests and check to see if you’ve completed the quest series called Onboarding. Complete those and it unlocks a lot more quests that will earn you a slew of VC, fittings, etc. If this isn’t on your Quest menu, it means you’ve completed them.

- I highly recommend Respawn’s YouTube channels for game content and guides. His playlist for 2K25 tips and tricks is here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGOoQDs-wRY1ckEtsFzI8rDjwonPbtAQ6
- For players with issues getting controller vibration to work, information provided by @Albinobluesheep: PGA 2K25 Refuge Tour - Info in post 152 - S25 starts 3/23/2025 - #129 by Albinobluesheep
(side note on controller vibration, Start menu > Settings > Difficulty: there are settings for ON, Correction Only, Transition Only, or Off. If you are getting weird vibrations at random points in your swing and you only want it for the transition, change this setting)

@ChickPhilA, requesting another thread title edit at your convenience, thank you!
PGA 2K25 Refuge Tour - Info in post 886 - S26 starts 7/8/2025
Hi all! If you are bored, I ported over my custom creation, the West Texas Dust Bowl, over from 2K23. I made a few tweaks here and there, and if anyone wants to play test before I hit publish on the real thing, the play test version is wtdb. Open to any and all feedback.
One specific change coming on the first par 3 on the back: going to make that more of a mid-to-long iron so the course features par 3’s that require everything from a pitch wedge (75y) to a driver (300y).
Also a reminder that the new season is upon us! Week 1 is happening now adjacent to the Scottish Open, and then next week we’ll play Portrush along with the men’s Open.
I figured this was as good a week as any to jump back into this. I’m still getting used to the swing bias and new gameplay so I put myself back into the qualifier pool.
It’s a different game so I fully anticipated having to work my way back up. I’ll go about it however the NLU Refuge Tour Players Association sees fit.
Definitely a learning curve! Check out the content in the info post up-thread, some helpful nuggets in there. The new leveling system can take some getting used to, so I’m happy to help with guidance as needed.
Gonna have a bonus purse of 5000 VC for the men’s Open this week, unfortunately can’t do the flights in the game so it’ll just be based on finishing position in the society.
Looking ahead, the version of Porthcawl in the game is meh. Assuming another version doesn’t get published in the next week, any preferences on venue? St Andrews is a possible one, but wanted to gather opinions. There is a version of Lytham in the game but I have to test it.
Also curious to hear thoughts on what the players want for the rest of the season. RCRs? Fictional courses? Open to all ideas but I want to make sure everyone will enjoy the venues we go to.
Edit: If someone can combo break my excessive posts, thanks and sorry! I’ll post week 1 updates as soon as I can
Here to help, sorry
Appreciate you @lostinspace!
SEASON 26 - WEEK 1 UPDATE - The Refuge Scottish Open
First week in the books! Hopefully the fictional Scottish layout was enjoyable and challenging. The approach into #1 may have cost me a few shots!
Individual flight winners:
- Young Hitters: @BlakeG starts off with a W! Scorecard playoff victory over @Shoresy
- C-Suite: @Broth also off to a hot start!
- Strapped: @Wigglez casually posting a score that would have won in a higher flight!
- LPCP: @TGray just minces the LPCP field!
As ever, if you see points not pulling properly, some formula doing something weird, or anything amiss, please ping me so I can take a look.
New Qualifiers:
@jeffvalois and @jrk394 welcome, you’ll find yourselves in LPCP to start
Shhedule for the week
We’re on to Portrush. As with all official courses in the game, time of day/weather settings are limited, but hopefully the wind forecast is roughly accurate. Enjoy some coffee golf with firm and fast conditions!

Replying just to give you 3 more posts and to thank you for all you do online.
As much as I’d love to claim a solo victory, I believe @BlakeG tied with me.
Thanks for the correction! Who knew that Shoresy was such a gentleman (the fictional character, I’m sure the real guy behind the alias is as well!)
@BlakeG will actually win in the scorecard playoff with a lights out -15 final round. Apologies for the error, those responsible have been sacked.
Nothing but class acts on the Refuge Tour!
Swing and a miss for HB/2K to not update the official version of Portrush in the game with proper pot bunkers. I know they’re not full sunken ones as we know them at a course like St. Andrews, but there are visible sod walls on several. Seems like an easy thing to have done with the game update that brought about the possibility of pot bunkers for the first time in the game series.
Should still be a fun week to play though! I dialed up the firmness as far as it would go on the fairways for rounds 3-4, it’s one step dialed back for 1-2.
At the end of the day, it’s fake internet golf, so I’m not complaining, but the firmness settings, combined with no first cut, is massively frustrating. An otherwise perfect drive that rolls one inch off the fairway because of how firm they are ending up in heavy rough is kind of brutal.
