I knew that speed golf at Tara Iti would pay off!

Can you imagine 20 of us hopping on PS4 at the same time to do this? Blue screen of death within 30 seconds.

Couldn’t be much slower than Royal Melbourne currently runs on my old PS4. Jittery as hell. Only slightly better than the site for the next TGCT event, which is an absolute mess.

Odd - I have a PS4 from about 6 months after launch and it runs very smoothly

About half the holes are fine. A few others are tolerable. And four or five are terrible.

My launch day PS4 was getting close to biting the dust and I took crazy good care of it. My PS5 launches and gets to the home screen on PGA within a few seconds, pretty rad.

Have you had issues with PGA getting to the Justin Thomas screen then freezing on PS5?

A battle vs speed? I’m fucked

Ya’ll got any tips for going from pro-am to pro? Can shoot lights out at pro-am but at pro I am all over the damn place. I’ve calibrated a bunch of times and seem to do fine there, but then get out on a PGA tour season event and ho boy it’s a nightmare.

No issues on my end. PS5 has some weird launch window issues they’re constantly ironing out so not completely surprised.

Maybe a 60fps issue? It’s a LiDAR course which will always be a bit tougher on older devices…and Heisenberg probably filled the plant meter like he did with Peninsula Kingswood, Chiang Mai, and others…

Could be, but my swing is to geared to 60 FPS now to switch back and forth. I’ll just live with it until I get a PS5. Predator was little messy, but not too bad. All other courses have been fine for the most part.

Swing plane was the hardest thing for me. I started looking at my controller a lot before swings two make sure my fingers were in the right position to go straight up and down (two finger swinger here). Just took practice. And maybe even practice on Master, or just all of the TGCT settings. Makes Pro seem WAY easier.

Hmm good advice, I’ll have to look up some different swing methods too maybe. Using my index finger going straight back and forward with my PS5 controller on my leg or table. My path doesn’t seem to be too bad usually, but I’m almost always fast and when trying to compensate I’m usually going to way too slow. Admittedly I don’t play enough as I should to maybe be better, but was just a little jarring going from pro-am to pro and having such a struggle.

Like just your index finger?

I swear 90% of you hold your controllers like animals

Ya hold controller kind of from the top with my left hand. And use right stick with right index finger lined up right below it. It’s made it pretty easy for me to keep a consistent straight path. How are you doing it?

I hold my controller the same I do for every other game and swing with my left thumb on the left stick

Watching people play Divot Derby on Twitch right now. This is looks crazy!

I do the same as @BigtimePolecat but with the right stick, right thumb. I found that I have a tendency to push it up and to the right slightly, so I’ve accounted for that and have found more consistency. Still not enough, but that’s what I get playing with the training wheels on up until this point.

Interesting. I guess I could go back and try using just my thumb and see how that fairs for me but I remember my path being a nightmare back in the day doing that haha. I’ve used the finger straight back and forward method since the first game.
