There was a lot of talk about the shortcuts, but I think the emphasis on this course is much more on where you canât miss it as opposed to where the short cuts are (which may not even be that helpful). I mean, on one hole you can be in the fairway150 yards out and have OB directly between you and the green, and a bunch of tall trees ready to knock you down into that OB. Iâve been in the first cut of rough and been OB, which is just fucking dumb. So practice rounds were spent less on âhow do I hit the bridgeâ and more on âhow do I not take a 12 hereâ. And some of the trees in your way are so high that the only way you know they are there is if you play the holes enough times to have hit them.
Still, my first round score is way better than any of my practice rounds under those conditions, and @davifuego totally blew that away, which is insane.

Shouldnât this say heâs claimed 52 spots in the ORGR? Dropping 52 spots is what Richard Flowers has been doing in the OWGRâŚ

I had a +1 third round with a 10 because a fairway bunker was incorrectly painted with OB in parts of it. That was cool

Whats the over/under on best team score this week? 50 over par?
After looking at scores I think +100 may be a better number.
I was +1 after two rounds a few holes in on R3 and I was +8. I rage quit and shut my PS4 off. Ill try and revisit later when I calm down.

Three holes where I took the stroke limit. I was so deep in a tree in the middle of the fairway I couldnât punch out with a ricochet into OB.
Another hole I drove and the ball rolled off the fairway and settled on a vertical cliff face⌠stroke limit.
Started going for shots to try and get strokes back and another stroke limit.

It also doesnât help, at least on PS4 regular at the high frame yet, that this course is a jittery mess on some holes, causing a normal swing to go very fast or very slow. And if all that wasnât enough, the shadows and wind make some greens simply unreadable. Itâs really just a crap shoot at the end of the day.

Is it possible to reach #4 in regulation? the first par 5? I canât figure it out.
Watching these scores roll in is so much fun. We really need one event like this every season.

Canât try and hit over the tree with your tee shot without hitting a huge slice for your second. Iâve been playing it in practice rounds 210 off the tee and putting the launch angle all the way down on my 3-wood to get up over the trees. Gets up to the corner and itâs an easy 9-iron from there.

Holy shit, I assumed I would be DFL or close to it for the 3rd week in a rowâŚI literally catapulted my 11 in round 2 trying to hit it over the bridge with a 13 MPH wind at my back.
Those birdies on 18 are the ones that keep you coming back!
