PGA 2K23 Refuge Tour - Info Post #9562 - S24 Begins 11/25

I don’t think doing the customization or figuring it out is much or a problem. My problem is that I don’t really have the time to experiment with five different archetypes and all of the fittings to fine tune each one. I’ve built up my guy under a certain archetype and I can’t just start from scratch to see if something else may be a better fit.

what a fucking dumpsterfire @Jeff_M hate this course with all my heart haha

This course grew on me. Glad I had 4 rounds to dial it in. First round I was ready to never play it again. However, by r4 I was at -11 and really liked. It’s a thinker.

Yeah, the false fronts and table top greens killed me. I’m also struggling with a very fast miss, kind of a bummer how inconsistent the game is on pc * sighs *

Let the hate flow…

this course is the epitome of what designers need to fix in 2k23 greens. I’ve had quality approaches into the heart of the green run off no less than 6 times per round

It’s very dumb your progress doesn’t carry over to a different computer. Went to play while I’m on the road and didn’t realize it’s basically a different account

That’s a sad story.

Sounds like they could have been higher quality.

Wait what? Is this using Steam cloud sync as well?

I need to double check. I thought so. When I logged in it made me so the tutorial and I had nothing.

Shoot, I just checked and it looks like no Steam sync is available for 2K23. I’m gonna have to do more research and see if 2K offers any sort of cloud save for their games, but I did at least find where the local save file is kept

I will be finalizing scores later this afternoon, tagging a couple folks who I can see have posted scores for 3 out of 4 rounds

@Tommo @Jrembold

If there is anyone else who hasn’t posted, go ahead and get those in if you can

I tactically withdrew from my final round to avoid long term explosive damage to my controller and/or monitor. On to the next one!

The Dumpster Fire (Honoring JBors) - WEEK 5 UPDATE

Major week is now behind us, we hope the Dumpster Fire was a demanding but fair test for all.

Welcome and welcome back to the Tour @icaritos_revenge (LPCP), @jaytarbzzz (C-Suite), @TonyPres (LPCP). @TheEyeTest I saw you posted scores for 2 rounds, based on those scores I can flight you into LPCP but let me know if you are taking a DNF instead.

Individual flight winners:

  • Young Hitters: @BlakeG wins again, yawn. Let me know if someone beats this guy.
  • C-Suite: @wseitz26 gets his first win of the season, and two podium finishes in a row
  • Strapped: @Tibbs with the second W of his season, propelled by the only double digit under par round in Strapped in R2.
  • LPCP: @smahon87 comes out of the gates and smashes a win in LPCP, after qualifying in week 2.

The Palmetto Club showed well in this event, despite the rain the grounds crew was able to keep things firm which made for a challenge in damp conditions.

We are proud to now travel to the great country of Lithuania, who have graciously extended an invitation to host a world class event as a way to mend bridges after some bad actors attempted to sabotage our Tour earlier this season. We thank the Lithuanian Golf Federation for their cooperation and we hope to continue our relationship and #growingthegame in Lithuania.

LPCP sounds good to me. Thanks.

Looking at some of these scores we might need a flight reshuffle here soon :joy:

-25 winning LPCP and Strapped around that course is wild man, not accusing anybody of any impropriety whatsoever, but those scores fit right in with the Young Hitters

It is expected with the first season of the new game, many players were just starting out when the Tour season started and have built up players/fittings now. I’m thinking we might do a full 4 round qualifying tourney again before the next season, instead of keeping what we have at the conclusion of this season.

fitting that you would win in the C-Suite after 1) I cleaned house and got the battlefield promo and 2) the course is mean for the sake of being mean #NeverForgetOldTown

Not recommending it for an event, but I figured the folks here are the type who would be interested in this project. I published a version of Doak’s original High Pointe course a few days ago: High Pointe 2009 LiDAR | TGC Tours

It was a fun project, there’s some links a few replies in that I posted to some articles I made documenting the process. I’m enjoying the reactions to the 18th hole too :joy:
