Dugong is pretty laggy and jittery for me as well, but it’s a cool course and not that big of a deal with swing timing off.
I can attest having won 2 in Strapped. Some may call my season victory a crowning due to the waning participation but eff that, I weathered the swing changes and my game actually improved. So suck out there you whiners and haters. I will also note my ascendancy coincides with my getting cut from Mercedes last season, so you can eat that @mctrees02 but I suppose a thank you is also in order as you set me free to spread my wings
The promo to YH seems like a little much, I look forward to future relegation but climbing the mountain to the top tier certainly feels great.
Looking forward to the rule changes.
Damn right! Whenever I used to play district am qualifiers and had a shitty round, I’d console myself by noting that I beat the crap out of all the guys with WDs.
My putting probably won’t be good enough to compete in YH, but I’m definitely more emotionally prepared to be uncompetitive than I was the last time I bombed out of YH, which began a long period of roaming aimlessly through the wilderness.
I know I saw them earlier in the thread, but can someone list the new settings? Would like to make sure I’m practicing on the right settings before I jump back in.
Thanks!
I’m queueing up Freezing Cold Takes for this one. I hope you are, but if you aren’t threatening to quit, are you even trying?
Master swing difficulty and turn swing timing off.
I’m coming off two wins in the last three events. Give it a couple events before I threaten to quit. I did just fully eject in the fourth round of the last TGCT event and shot like 13 over because I just DGAF after random red fasts and slows. So maybe I’ll threaten to quit that.
Way in on the swagger and confidence displayed here.
Coming from the Strapped B winner, I second this!
*note - I was showing signs of improvement in Season 10. That damn buzzsaw of @mvpmanatee ran roughshod over us though
Have heard this issue from other PS4 players as well. Fortunately with swing timing off it’s not much of a killer anymore.
If you want to see your PS4 meltdown, go play the Germany course from National Treasure. It’s beautiful but evidently crushed consoles (and even some PC’s).
Gets promoted from Strapped to C Suite. Life gets in the way, only finishes like one tournament as a C Suiter. Checks out the new spreadsheet and sees that he’s been promoted to Young Hitters.
I was prepping my apology for dropping back down to Strapped and planned to offer to stay in C Suite as a gesture of good will. Now I’m planning a mixture of leaning into the @mctrees02 -way (maximum manipulation) and completely flying by the seat of my pants/figuring out these new swings as I go until I get back to my rightful place in the nether-regions of the C Suite (at best).
The less events you played the less opportunity to impact your overall SG stats vs the field. You played really well in your one event, so you got promoted.
That Germany course is a beautiful mess. It looks really cool and the handful of holes I played were very nicely done, but if it made it to the schedule of any event, I would skip it. Not as bad as Knob’s Creek, but pretty bad.
@jbors I just wanted to give you a shout out. I thought you did a fantastic job of flighting me.
Do we still promote courses over here? Or is there another thread?
Either way. My latest is published. Pete Dye inspired.
Bungalow Beach Club. Enjoy!
This is absolutely the place.
Me, bored as fuck after forcing myself to play a couple of practice rounds at the monotonous as hell Torrey Pines:
Blame the USGA
Just be glad you can find your ball in the rough, unlike the real Torrey Pines South.
