The schedule has gotten very messy for me in July. The early plan was to spend the 4th at my folks in IN, and drive over after, then head back to VA on Sunday. New schedule has me out there early for a baby shower for my niece. On the tail end, my kids have to be back in VA Sunday morning to leave for camp. Totally bummed that the schedule won’t allow me to attend.

But wait…what is that?! Bah gawd that’s @mintbucket’s music!
Coming off the top rope with a ride back to the east coast! My personal MVP! (In a close second is my wife who agreed to drive back to VA with the kids and dog all by herself.) So in summary:
All paid up, and @jimithng23, make sure the Busch Lattes are coooold.
Anything around Grand Prairie mall is good. Plus its a straight shot on the highway to Pekin from there. You can take back roads from CCBBQ to the hotel. Downtown is an option as many people mentioned the Pere Marquette. Make sure to stop into Hoops for some late night 'za and some Peoria nostalgia. Also Neon Bison has been making a serious come up lately. Its the renovated Judges Chamber bar that was a popular industry bar for years where people could get off shift at the hospital at 7am and belly up to the bar for a few morning cold beers.
Blues lol… we will be playing the whites. There would be people not finish from the blues. 16.9 would put you at 20. So you need 16 points to get your quota. 36-20=16
The -4 points for double bogey or worse is gonna kill the high handicappers like my self, no points for a bogey I can kind of understand that, but then jump from 0 for bogey to -4 for taking one more stroke, is a bit steep when the reverse of par to birdie is only a two point swing. yes it will effect all players but how many double bogeys does a 6 handicap average per round? At the NIT how many people actually finished in the positive point balance after 3 rounds, with no penalty points for double or worse.
Willing to play within the rules how ever they are set , but just wanted to explore the rational for the big penalty jump.
-4 for double bogey is brutal. I’m playing off a 10 right now (no questions or comments at this time please) - usually good for a birdie or two and a double or two a round. They equal out on a good day, so let’s say 2 each.
That leaves me needing 13 pars to hit quota.
So I’m +2 through the first 4 hypothetical holes:
Birdie, Dbl, Birdie, Dbl
Even for the next 13 holes to get my 26 quota points
And now I’m +2 through 17 holes… how do I get the other 8 stokes to get up to my handicap?
