It’s a Thursday.
And I’ve been informed that there are 36 days until the Ope.
A couple of announcements:
1.) we only need to have 3 more rope hats to meet our 25 goal. Would love to get them figured out by tomorrow to ensure I have enough time to place an order and have them delivered.
2.) during a conversation with @midwestgolfbum , there was a proposal made.
If one other person commits $50 for a custom ball marker (all funds going to Fitchburg Serenity Club), our fearless leader will sponsor a 3rd ball marker for another Ope attendee.
As we approach the event, it’s really time to kick things into gear and make a positive impact on a great cause.

Order for rope hats has been placed. Thanks to some friends of the Ope, we have reached our order total of 25.
The total price per person is $37, with 5 of those dollars going to Fitchburg

34 days until the Ope 4, bringing back a feature from last year…the beer potluck.
So as a reminder and for newcomers, after a discussion with @bignanski in 2023, last year we had a communal cooler where you could deposit a 4, 6, 12, or whatever pack of beer from your home area, then sample from the cooler varieties of beverages from around the Ope nation as long as you contributed to the cooler. Unless there is opposition, I would like to bring this back this year. If you’d like to participate feel free to bring a taste of your hometown to the Ope this year. Could be beer, seltzers, soda (I always love a good craft root beer), NA’s (I know there are people in the community that don’t drink so don’t wanna leave anyone out), but if you’d like to participate my giant cooler will be on hand again.
