I’ve heard from people who have played there that the course is just whatever, but the clubhouse and amenities are sick

Same. The logo is not good and the clubhouse and amenities thing is not something that matters to me, so it’s way down my list of famous courses in Florida I’d be willing to make a drive to play. Lots of much better courses in that area too.

Yes, but only the Links. I took an insane trip in July 2023 where I played 28 rounds of golf in 15 days (with an off day for a wedding) & Lawsonia was one of them. A lot of that trip is a blur & it’s tough to remember a lot of golf holes when you’re seeing them in rapid succession, but holy fuck do I remember Lawsonia Links. I’m psychotic & note the best hole(s) on courses I play; there’s normally 1-3 or so noted & for Lawsonia Links I listed 8 of them. Holes 6-8 are incredible and I felt like I was on cloud nine the entire time as I was the first one out there. My jaw dropped at the first green site & after hole 2 I realized that it wasn’t overhyped. Maybe the only time I’ve been sad to be done in 2.5 hours & one of my favorite courses I’ve ever played. Absolute fuckin beauty of a course that I’m dying to get back to & also experience the Woodlands.
I’m going to have to go with the 2025 Masters.
Everyone who watched the 2020 PGA Championship will remember the drive Collin hit on 16 as well as draining the putt to go with it. He broke the scoring record for the PGA Championship & The Open just kinda fell into his lap on a good conditties day. Would also like to remind everyone that in the history of time only 46 more men have won more majors than him.
Seems pretty rude to put Alice in Chains so I’ll go with Pearl Jam.
