Call me a homer if you want but watching Tiger and Brooks highlights from the final round at Bellerive makes me feel things. Tiger almost jarring #3 and Brooks absolutely stuffing it on #16 (a hole I played from those tees once and couldn’t sniff with a drawing Driver) are pure electric.

Favorite refuge golf memory, or at least the first time I felt like I was in the know what the fuck this place is, was Cheating Scandal coming from NIT 1. I was basically out of the loop of ALL the inside refuge topics before and during the NIT as a refuge newcomer for the most part. But coming out of that, I knew the people in play, and the mix between people really taking the topic seriously and the ones that were just stirring the pot were obvious and hilarious. I was hooked ever since.
As for someone I want to know more about - @CarlyRaeJepsenFan - and dude, I think I owe you an apology from last Ope. As you were chipping behind 10 on Links while I was coming up 13 nearing the green, and was my normal too-loud self. I’m pretty sure I fucked you up there, as that’s a spot you were already not pleased to be, and I made it worse. You are an intimidating dude, so I ran away, hoping I’d get a public forum to apologize formally. So thanks to the Ope Journal for giving me the platform!
