- México DF (not technically a state, similar to DC)
- Mérida
- Sinaloa
- Durango (biased since that’s my home state)
- Veracruz
- Querétaro/Baja California Sur

Oaxaca is incredible. I was only there for a little over a day but had amazing food. Dying to go back
I am proud to say Durango is pumping out some killer Mezcales, though I would not recommend you visiting currently.
