Short answer, I’ll hear about it if you’re not going off as part of a foursome. I will make it that person or groups problem.
Longer answer, when I hear about it, so will fucking everybody. As this is the fourth edition, I’ve been able to build up a LOT of goodwill over the years. I’ve gotten many compliments on how wonderful we are as a group, how clean we keep the course, how we treat the staff, the amount we don’t ever make them chase us down to pay tabs in the bar, and on, and on. Should somebody or a group of somebody’s come and fuck that up for the broader group, they will need to be ready to answer a LOT of questions from a LOT of people.
I’ve said it many times, this is something I have been willing to do every year because of those who have made it so great and the feedback I have gotten from my friends at Lawsonia. If this ever becomes harder than it already is for me, it goes away. This all goes on my personal card, it’s booked and reserved under my name, the tee times are announced as my group.
If anybody wishes to make a tee time around the event, I cannot stop that. But the expectation at that time is that the understanding is that you are NOT part of our group when it comes to golf. I would happily make that known to Lawsonia, as to prevent anything coming back to me or the broader group.

Larger groups, send them an email early and they will work with you. Quite honestly, you can probable send them something now saying “hey we have 20 coming on xyz date, anything you can help with tee times” and you’ll likely get something on the books.
