Spring Valley is so sick. During the round I just found myself being upset at the sizes of the greens, but after I was reflecting and absolutely love the place. The property is insane, the routing is fantastic, it just needs a nip and tuck. Truthfully it would just need the greens expanded back to original, and a single cut everywhere but under trees and in bunkers, and it would be an incredible golf course, easily in my top 10.
Favorite hole is tough, but I’d give a nod to 17 and it’s wild ass green. 14 is so good as a drivable 4. It’s probably between those 2. Also a nod to 10.

Exactly. Let’s the bunkers get long as fuck (don’t sand them), cut the greens, and let er ride. I prefer Elks to it at the moment, but prefer the property at SV by a wide margin.

Also following your (frankly, amazing) music question, I’ve gone on an Alkaline Trio binge these last couple days and:
These guys banged for like 15 straight years. Each release up through Good Mourning is better than the last, Crimson was probably just as good but leaned hard into the goth rock, and I can’t believe any of the songs on Remains (except for the covers) didn’t make it on any of the LPs. Absolute straight rocket fuel for like 80 consecutive tracks.

Learned the very hard way that if you’re way right off the tee to just take your medicine and get back to the fairway at all costs.
Ended up hiding behind a tree while @djpie was hitting his tee shot on 17 because I played the hole like an absolute dumbass.
