OATW Presents: Tiki at the Kiki 24—please see charity info

Hey All,

We are looking to go with the John Marshall High School golf program as a charity for the event. We donated about 600 bucks to them back in August 2022 from the Battle for the Big Nut raffle that was way more successful than the (non)event itself.

The school was so appreciative, I think running it back is a good idea. The 2022 donation was used for team shirts and to help players, especially a lefty that was having a really hard time, find decent equipment. As Nick predicted 80 bucks as an all-in cost, we’re thinking 10/man is a fair ask. You can always do more as seems to be common in this community, but 10 minimum keeps the price around the original estimate.

I’ll take care of delivering the check the week of 7/22 when the AD is back in the office. I’m going to ask my employer to match the donation once the school gets me a letter.

Please Venmo me joec41 (last 4 2036) or do cash at the event.

Also, if anyone has any gently used equipment that isn’t too ancient, I’ll be happy to collect that as well. I’m in the last group Saturday so plan on leaving it in the pro shop.

Thanks all!!

I have a bunch of T-Shirts that Joe gave me at Findlay so we could say a donation of $20 gets you a T of your choice. Do note they are probably 75% M, a few S, and a few L only.

Played Manakiki yesterday, course is in good shape. The greens were soft, and not as quick as they have been in the past. Should be some good scores.

My alarm and self awareness failed me this morning. Please stick around for tee gifts. I blame the awesome live performance at high and dry @Conley76 and @Racole212

Boys today was so much fun. Thanks to everyone for coming out. @joecline41 and @waver82 for the effort. Can’t wait to run it back. Missed @Browcoww77 aka Mr. Kiki but a little more pressing matters were in play. Shaka brah.

Wish I could’ve joined you all. I was already committed to a charity outing in Dayton.

Hope everyone had a blast!

Good times today gents, albeit miserably hot and downright awful golf I played, always a good time with fellow Refugees.

My first time at Manakiki and I cannot wait to play it again. I get it now why everyone raves about it. Shout out to @PlumbBobMillionaire and @Gobrownies09 for a round that was off the charts in both the vibes and golf played department.

Just wanted to note for everyone that if you grabbed any of the OATW sticker packs or tee packs in those bags with the logo on them, there is a sticker on the top of all of them for instructions to venmo @PersistentlyOverPar for those, so please follow the TC rule and don’t hang Chad out to dry

Can I Venmo someone for tees stickers?

Thanks again to everyone who kicked in for charity! We are at 455.

Based on the Venmos and cash I got yesterday, I think everyone kicked in and then some. I’m not meeting with the school unti the 22nd so if anyone didn’t get a chance to send the 10.00 donation my Venmo is @joec41 (last 4 2036).

Yesterday was as always a great hang. Great seeing old faces and meeting new.
