OATW Match Play - 2025 - Round 3 Winners - Second Chance bracket needs to speed up

I did notice that you signed your Venmo to me this year as: “From the future champion”.

Trying my hardest to pretend like I’m not expecting a quick group-stage exit

My goal this year is simply: Make it out of the group stage. I was so close last year and absolutely blew it in all three of my matches.

Just so everyone’s on notice: Two months ago, Vinny decided to get his putter loft adjusted from 11 degrees and hasn’t missed a putt outside 8 feet since. Not convinced this wasn’t a planned op considering the score posting season stopped shortly after…

Keep your heads on a swivel.

Dear Ohio Against The World and THE Ohio State Matchplay,

All you motherfuckers are gonna pay. You are the one who are the ball lickers. I’m gonna wax my group so hard while they watch and cry. Then I’m going all the way to Roost club championship and make them eat shit, then shit out the shit composed of their shit and make them eat that shit.

Love,

Also full disclosure. Last year with travel/job change I made 1 match and lost, then had to WD for the other 2. This year that changes. @golf4miami thanks for setting this up again and looking forward to it!

Young kids sleep all day. Get your self a jogging stroller and a carry bag and you’re good to go!

Well this is a tough one to write. THE match play is going to be a pass for me this year.

Stop me if you’ve heard this: life has gotten stupid expensive the last few months. That, plus we are less than confident my wife’s employer is going to survive the looming recession. They just had a large layoff this week.

I sure as shit am not going to play zero Refuge golf this this year. Findlay is already on the calendar in ink as will of course be whatever NEO event/weekend meetups happen. But, in looking at the golf budget for the year unfortunately a few cuts are needed. It’s already a lock that by August I’ll have overshot the “budget” but I need to at least try to stick to it the first few months of the season.

I swear this isn’t at all related to me going over .500 last year and still not getting out of pod play.

TLDR: not playing match play this year. Thanks Obama.

Loads of opportunities at my work hit me up if anything looks like it could be a possibility for her. Sorry to hear this bro! Hope to still get out with ya a bunch.

Good Morning Everyone!

We’ve got 43 players signed up with 33 confirmed via payment already! Huge numbers and a lot of new faces which I absolutely LOVE to see.

Updated map showing our current sign up locations is below. Really liking the spread we have so far.

I am very Butthurt/Sad that I can’t participate this year. Was really hoping to run it back with another 0-3 record. Decided to join a Par 3 league that will already be a consistent commitment.

We will miss you in the pod! Par-3 league sounds absolutely sick, we need more high-caliber short courses for weeknights and replay on the weekends.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

We are exactly 3/4 of the way full on signs ups with 48 on the list. 37 of which are paid.

We’ve also got some solid regional pods forming it up looks like with a full pod in Indiana, Findlay/Toledo, and Dayton this year.

Last I looked I hadn’t been marked as paid. I did send it last week but never messaged you about it, which is my bad.
