I was distraught when I found out we weren’t flying private.
Damn bean counters.
Very excited to carve out the time for this. In HS my girlfriend’s dad did a lot of business in Argentina and would be there for a week every 5-6 weeks. He loved it so much that he talked about retiring to there. Not sure what ever happened with that. But, the thing that stuck with me that I didn’t realize until knowing him was indeed how big it is. The only part he hated was the several hours of flight to get somewhere for a day meeting after having already flown all the way down there.
While the more likely scenario is that you omitted ‘dad’ I’m choosing to believe it’s actually a misplaced apostrophe and that you had multiple girlfriends, all of whom did business in Argentina despite being in high school.
Your girlfriend did what??
This you @thekid33 ?
Amazing how much a slight typo changes everything
@BamaBearcat thank you for the many laughs and chuckles in this video and everything you do online. Just delightful
Nah that’s me
@Tron what’s the conversion from women’s sock sizes to men’s? I am always envious of the extra color ways and styles
Don’t you just add 2 to the size?
I guess we’ll find out!
A future epilogue of NLU: Argentina in…Aiken?
New pod wrapping up our Argentina trip should be in your feeds. This one dives a little deeper into the X’s and O’s of the trip.
A postscript: Felipe our host from the video ended up getting credentialed for this year’s Masters and ended up chasing Rory’s final round with KVV and Neil.
Post-Masters he played Holston Hills, Lookout and Black Creek, then I joined him for Sweetens yesterday and Shoal Creek this morning. He’s currently wrapping things up with dinner at the Franchise’s house in ATL before his flight home tonight. Just an all-time solid amigo.
THANKS for supporting the Argentine project. I hope all of you get a chance to go visit Felipe and his homeland someday.
Couldn’t get him on anywhere good, huh?
Roosts did the heavy lifting.
I got my appendix out at a public hospital in Bariloche and I don’t even have a tee shirt to show for it.
Argentina is an amazing place in the best and worst ways at the same time. The “A-factor” hits fucking hard at the weirdest moments.
A couple of weeks late to the watch party, but I’m glad I finally did. I’ll echo what others have said above and add this:
I can’t believe that I now have a genuine interest in sharing a locker room shower with @BamaBearcat.
Wonderful country.
Visited in 1990 and 2013.
Loved it.
