Ironic now that Soly is now obsessed with stacking after all he’s told us about codes
The Wallace got delivered today and I absolutely love it. Fairly heavy but not overly so, perfect for fall or moderate winter temps without a coat.
It fits a bit slimmer than say a Rhoback QZ but not an entire size smaller. I got an XL and it fits like a L 1/2 or an XL slim if that makes sense.
Curious if anyone else has run into this.
I bought this shirt over the summer and have worn it for a handful of rounds. The first time I washed it the collar came out kind of wrinkly, but it wasn’t really an issue. There was a couple of long threads in my dryer after the first wash, and I didn’t really think much of it. Fast forward to a few months later, the collar is now SUPER wrinkly looking and cannot be ironed out. These pics are right after ironing, and you can see it’s almost like an extreme case of bacon neck.
Anyone have any ideas on what I should do? It’s still wearable, but it definitely doesn’t look great. Thanks!
I have to ask you this before anyone else does. Do you dry your clothes???
Have had 3 variations of that polo over the years and never seen wrinkling like that. But also don’t dry most of my clothes.
Have 4 of those, never had the issue but hang dry those shirts.
My wife (and I) hang dry almost everything except some towels and things. Maybe some sheets, too.
Hahaha yeah, mostly everything goes in the dryer.
Seems like a handful of you only hang dry, so maybe it was operator error. I have about a dozen or so polos and this is the only one that has had issues so I was curious.
I have one of these that is similar but not as bad.
Good rule of thumb with most clothing is wash cold and hang dry. Almost all of my clothes that I’d wear to work or the golf course, and even a lot of hoodies and T-shirts, are done that way. The only things I dry are undershirts, underwear, socks and sweats.
Wash cold and hang dry is going to make pretty much everything last longer and maintain it’s quality.
I should have mentioned, the refuge supports you selling your dryer in favor of the clothes line.
Fully endorse this advice…I use Tide Cold Water, and all shirts, sweaters, pants, hoodies etc. get hung to dry. Clothes last forever this way.
@middlenut if you weren’t aware, most of the Refuge apparently lives in small Italian villages where dryers aren’t used (below is one of the main Refuge communities. I think @VinnyCal75 is mayor).
Don’t feel ashamed about using a dryer. Some of us threw out our clotheslines in the 80’s
Clothes need to die to the dryer to always allow for more clothes to be bought and keep the rotation fresh
I use the dryer. What am I gonna do, iron?!?
That said, I do hang dry the performance polos.
Forreal who has time to iron all their clothes?
I knew real estate in Denver was a poor investment
What setting are you guys using on your dryers that it’s messing up your clothes? I have put 99.9% of my clothes in a dryer exclusively and never had an issue with anything getting messed up.
I iron my clothes in the dryer just for good measure
When I’m the one doing our dryer load, low or medium heat. When my wife is the one doing the dryer load, which is most of the time, temperature of the sun’s surface.
