NLU Pro Shop (Part 2)

To address the email volume. It’s the same as last year. We will be sending out 14 total emails in November and December (there are 5 more going out in December: 2 newsletters and 3 related to a final Holiday (Mega)bonus, a deal that won’t be as good as what was offered the last month). We segment out people that have purchased and try to tailor emails to different products and Nest/Non-nest members.

If these emails are annoying, I’d recommend unsubscribing and then resubscribing in January. We will be returning to 2 emails a month in January through October. Our open rates since November 1st are averaging over 60%, our unsubscribe rate is under 1%, and our spam rate is .01%. We feel good about our volume based on these numbers and compared to other eCommerce brands. When we are running our biggest deals of the year, we want to make sure people know about them. We are also running a small amount of re-marketing on Instagram, and I’ve been really happy with the creative that @ChickPhilA and @sundaybag have cooked up for the ads and for the organic posts on the NLUproshop account. We have a lot of good stuff in the shop right now, and we struggle to feature it all in 1-2 emails a month.

Business in the shop has been good this year, and we appreciate the support.

There are far, far worse emails that could hit your inbox. Choose to cheer, people. C’mon …

People are complaining?

TLDR:

Babies are expensive, buy more shit, it’s good stuff.

Always. Especially me.

North Coast was sending me 3 to 4 emails A DAY all throughout Black Friday/Cyber Monday week.

Now THAT is excessive.

As a marketer, that’s just bad and lazy marketing, plain and simple.

Greyson’s ads have been so invasive I’ve unsubscribed and will only browse on incognito.

North Coast was the quickest unsubscribe I’ve clicked. Love their stuff but wtf were they thinking? Awful strategy.

They are similar on Instagram with their endless stories.

Let me introduce you to J. Crew. My co-worker sent me a link to some boots he bought. I clicked the link, and then this happened…

The only reason why I stay subscribed to J.Crew is their texts they send sometimes alert me to some really good deep discounts.

But them and Volcom have been the absolute worst the last two weeks.

Some of the folks that complain about too many emails would also be the folks that complain about not knowing about the mega bonus sale.

Oh I’m aware. I was replying to the merch drop photos. Opted for the delete after reading about codes.

Morning. About to dip my toe in the RHOBACK waters and seek guidance. I’m a XL in FootJoy / Peter Millar shirts. For the soon to be released hoodie today, XL or XXL? Like a lose fit.

I’ll hang up and listen now. Thanks.

Most likely the XL is fine. I wear L in most everything but an M in Rhoback hoodies. It’s not tight, but not loose either. (I don’t like loose especially sleeves when playing golf).

Go with XXL. The hoodie runs a bit big but not Millar or FJ big
