Never committed for enough time to know but hoping that i am able to shed some LBs before the snow melts
Does anyone use the non-cycling content as well? Thought signing up might be a good time to finally dip my toes in the yoga pool.
On a related note, am I right in seeing that the app will only chromecast if the source is an android device? Was really hoping to get the yoga videos casted from my iphone to my Samsung TV.
Nothing wrong with the on demand classes instead of live in my opinion. can ride whenever it’s more convenient for you. I’ve done about 150 rides and only 1 of them live. I did it for my 100th ride thinking I’d get a shout out from the instructor, which would in turn cause me to pedal faster, but then I got stone cold ignored.
I’ve done a handful of yoga and a lot of the stretches. The strength was hit or miss when I tried it. But it was > 6 months ago, so not sure if they’ve upped the offerings. My wife does some treadmill classes (on a non-Peloton treadmill, at a gym, like a psycho) and seems to like them.
in a year (coupled with intermittent fasting) I went from 209 to 181. My advice would be to track clothing size and not weight. If you’re working hard on the bike it’s pretty astounding how quickly you’ll build (significant) leg muscle.
I’m in this same boat. My wife uses the Peloton more frequently than I do. However, I find the stretch and running classes very useful.
I typically take a 5 minute pre-run warmup paired with a hip/back/glute stretch 1 hour or so prior to heading to the golf course and I’ve noticed I don’t get much back pain anymore.
My resolution this year is to be consistent with either the running or bike classes (3-4 times a week) and take a few yoga classes to work on flexibility.
P.S. if you want some pure entertainment join the “Official Peloton Members Page” on facebook. A ton of people complaining/arguing over the dumbest things.
Oh Heck Yeah! i didn’t know there were stretch classes on there. That’s what I need. What are they like?
stretch classes are great i try to do at least one 10 minute stretch one a day and make sure to always do it on days i am going to play
you can pick the body area(lower, upper, full, etc) and the time commitment is either 5,10 or 15 minutes per class.
They just added foam rolling.
Get ON THAT BIKE! (says the guy who didn’t ride last night)
also, download the mobile app if you haven’t already.
I’m in New York for work at the beginning of the week next week.
Currently signed up for a Monday morning class with Emma Lovewell.
Have been in studio in NYC a bunch of times (I get there for work 3-4x a year). It’s always fun and something you should consider if you’re in the city.
Does anyone have the peloton treadmill thing? Also, did any of you do spin classes before getting the bike?
I had never tried a spin class before I bought my peloton. About 60 rides in though and love it. Lost some weight but the most obvious thing for me has been strength in my legs. 18 on a real hilly course use to wear me out now barely bothers me. Also I love that they added foam rolling classes this week been great for post ride
I went to a SoulCycle class once. Didn’t go back because I think class 2 is when they make you do the satanic pledge and blood oath.
Never did any spin classes either.
I have the Peloton treadmill. Bought it last Christmas only used it 49 times last year. I am trying to be more committed to it this year. When I use it, I really enjoy it. Set a goal of 150 runs on it this year…only have 146 more runs to go
Late night ride done. As diffcult as it is to hop on when I work late. Its only 30 minutes and I always feel great after.
