I’m very far away from 1k - having covid and missing the first 3 weeks of working out set me back this year…I’m coming for 10k though!
In the challenges tab, sign up for “The Annual” and there’s a badge for every interval of 1000 minutes.
got it. I’m signed up for it.
I actually just bought an NLU towel for this exact purpose, so I’m selfishly hoping that’s not the gift this year.
Narrator: It was the gift this year.
I know it’s probably been brought up, but what are the pros of signing up for the paid version of MPaceLine or Powerzone Pack? I typically like data, follow Whoop pretty consistently, but don’t know how much impact it would have on training plans.
I am signed up for the current PZP challenge and like to look at the basic graphs.
I haven’t paid for either but the only thing I like is when I can see the times in various zones. This site (which seems to be down now, ominously) does that for free: https://app.homefitnessbuddy.com/peloton/
I’ve got a Visa giftcard burning a hole in my pocket and am going to try the PZP subscription. Looking forward to the challenge a bit more. I made the mistake of doing a leg lift day on Thurs and then back to back bike days to follow. So I’m dead today. Need to plan out my weeks a little better for the future.
Looping back after having these Nike Superreps for 3 weeks.
Biggest difference is the weight of the shoes versus the Peloton shoes. The Nikes are much lighter and breathe much better. No major difference in performance on bike but definitely more comfortable during and after a ride.
Anyone has any questions, feel free to DM me.
I the black version of these. My only words of advice for people here is to go up .5 in size, they run a bit small.
Another PSA - I had been having issues with my seat slipping down while I rode - from a 26 to 23 or so. I can’t tell while I ride but it definitely does not optimize performance. This seems to be an issue they’ve resolved with the Bike+ but for the older models it happens when you over tighten the seat when adjusting it. Guilty as charged. They sent a new “seat sleeve” and I just swapped it out in a manner of minutes. Hopefully it works but the process of getting it sent and the replacement couldn’t have been easier.
Anyone had a pedal break off? Happened to me this morning, and I can’t get it to thread back in. Seems as if maybe a thread peeled off with it? Very pissed.
That blows! We’ve (knock on wood) had no issues with any part of the bike so far…
Also someone @ me when there’s a new ride to change the title for today.
Got my power zone pack ride in this morning already. Ugh the start of zone 4s.
I’ve been riding for a month now and I’m to the point where I can hit 300 kj on a 30 minute ride. Building the endurance week to week has been really rewarding.
I’ll chase you virtually in an hour or so.
I had one snap off, they replaced the entire bike rather than send a new crank arm.
They sent me a new bike after I had problems with the crank arm and a bearings change.
I’ve had my Peloton for a couple months now, and have ridden it 12-15 times…has anyone experienced foot pain when they ride? Like outside/insides of both feet? Any suggestions to remedy? It makes me hat getting on…almost impossible to go over 20 minutes due to pain not fatigue…haven’t experienced with any other workout before.
With my non-peloton spin bike I had a pedal fall off due to the crank arm stripping on the inside. I would absolutely make sure you push for a replacement bike, as you need a special tool to remove a crank arm and reinstall it. If you don’t have access to one, a replacement crank arm will do you no good.
We have a repair tech coming tomorrow to replace our bearings and crank arms. This sounds ominous…
Well, to flesh it out a little bit: they sent me the bearings, a video, and said “go ahead and fix it!” I found the special tool, but F’d it up because it wasn’t the “right special tool.” Called hem back and said, “your instructions didn’t work” and they just sent a new bike.
Edit: I was in the warranty, of course.
