Hit the trifecta.
Gotta pump those calories up, 500 and it’s almost noon. Grab 2 mcgriddles on your drive home.
If anybody had a recovery over 40%, what are we even doing here?
That is very impressive dupes
If anyone still has feeling in their lower body, I envy them.
@Tron semi formal top courses list based on poll going on at EUG:
- Pac Dunes
- Preserve
- Trails
- Shortys
- Sheep Ranch
- Bandon Resort Course
- McDonald’s (the one with the egg McMuffin, you know)
Does anyone know if the United counter person at EUG forgot to set their alarm or just decided to not come in to work today?
Southwest and aha! Airlines appear to be fully staffed today.
Same thing happened with Southwest and American. They just showed up out of nowhere.
Small airport, few flights. Airlines will only staff the counter within a couple of hours of a flight.
My last time flying out of EUG, they even closed the TSA checkpoint during a lull in the schedule.
Mega strain on 1% recovery is what it’s all about.
2% recovery with 78 HRV is staggering to me.
If my HRV is over 70 I’m set.
It’s hard to reflect on the totality of this event, but all I can say is that this was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. From the golf to the hang to the moments independently that I’ll never forget like being pulled into a late night poker game, almost holing a 200 foot putt, or meeting each and every one of you, this was exactly the gas in the tank that I needed in my life and to reset my sanity that has seemingly been lost as of late.
If I tried to call out individual moments and tag individual people, I would end up tagging each and every person on this trip. That, to me, was one of the most incredible parts of this trip; the people that I met from across the world coming together to share an incredible experience at one of the best places on earth for golf.
From the first ball I hit it Shortys on Friday to the last putt that dropped on Trails yesterday, this trip was filled with moments I will never forget.
A huge shoutout to @tron and the entire NLU crew for the incredible amount of work that had to go into a trip like this. Tee times flowed smoothly, events were super fun, food was great, and the hang was one of the best that I have ever experienced in my life.
If you have an opportunity to do an NLU event, I highly highly encourage it. Even local Roost events are an incredible way to meet people that are as crazy for golf as you are.
Although I left a lot of shots (mainly putts) out there and did not play up to my expectations, that’s not what I will remember from the time I spent in Oregon.
To bastardize my favorite Twain quote, ‘Too much of anything is bad, but too many good times with No Laying Up at Bandon is barely enough.’
This perfectly sums up everything golf has come to mean to me in the last 2 years. I’m so glad NLU put this trip together knowing that a group of people from here got to refill those buckets that allow us to navigate the world, family, work, and the day to day grind. Thanks everyone for sharing the stories and pics here!
Tried to work on figuring out the skins in the car.
What we have on our hands is one of the great puzzles of our time. I think I’m now further away from figuring it out than when I started.
I count 8 of us on the Eugene - Denver flight. Almost 20% of the plane.
I can’t imagine anyone on the trip will disagree with any part of this. It was great. I have no strong opinions on the courses themselves (they’re great, obviously) but meeting that many people and not running into anyone that sucks is the big win. I didn’t know anyone else on this trip when it started and I think I’ve got a lot more friends than I had a week ago. This place is the best.
Felt exactly the same after the Scotland trip a couple weeks ago. Only knew one personally on the trip @Double_Bogey_Dave. The other 34 were fanfreakingtastic to be around and spend a week with in the home of golf
Time to start paying for the trip boys!
Don’t worry, @tkeats is here is keep me between the mayo n mustard.
A million putts at Bandon you say?
Quick stop at Golf Galaxy on the way home will most definitely solve it.
Was so mad at my my putter I took it out of the bag after my last round and left it in the car alone. It’s on eBay now.
I’m sick. Truly.
Noted sicko @Jrembold teeing off for his rubber match with the doakito on pac.
