Couldn’t have asked for a better start weather wise yesterday. Very much hated but enjoyed getting baptized by Doak on Pac Dunes with @tkeats @BogiesOrBetter and @RSK whose headcover game is strong!
Day wrapped up with the sheep ranch and borderline religious experience. @ChickPhilA as always made for a great hang, we enjoyed a few casual fireballs, made some good swings and meme level awkwardness when discussing NLU @catshannon caddy says ‘oh like EAL at random golf…’
Can’t say enough about the group as a whole, nobody stays strangers for long especially when discussing high crime neighborhoods or the joy of the silk road when you see 80+ unread messages.

I had a similar conversation that took a turn the right direction. My caddie in the morning asked if I watched any of the barstool golf stuff and I hedged with “yeah I’ve seen it but only have so much room for golf content in my life” to keep things civil, and he came back with “those guys are a bunch of assholes.” So that actually led to a fun conversation.

They were on property when I was there last September and though we didn’t actually talk, this was fairly clear as they held up play on Sheep Ranch, set up a podcast episode right in front of the pro shop entrance, etc…I’ve never watched the videos but I hope me flipping them off from a separate green showed up on one of them.

Awesome! I’m planning on just bringing my Fuji X100F, but my buddy has a Sony A7iii that he said I could take with. Trying to gauge if I want to lug that around or not.
Unfortunate side effect of AirTags. If you put one in your golf bag, and leave your clubs in your car, you get one every time you leave your car away from home. Good way to make sure they’re still working, though.
Agreed, disappointed by the lack of photos and info here so far… Maybe someone in the WhatsApp can aggregate the photos here?
