So two people finished at -2. But only one qualified per the QS website.
How did they determine that?
World’s most nail-biting coin flip? Chip off? Arm wrestling?

Glowball.
I thought “one ties, we all tie” right?
Can confirm
[Obligatory airport departure post.]
Capturing a scummy prestigious invitation to the 2nd Annual NIT was unexpected. If I wasn’t more focused on fun and community at these things, I might have snagged a qualifying spot in one of the six other Refuge/NLU events I attended in 2021.
There is no comparing the two NITs thus far, but both are all-timers for different reasons. Perhaps this one stressing the strength of the people and real camaraderie that forms quickly on this blog.
I feel like I have lifelong, deep friendships with folks throughout the country. Many of whom I first met last October at Donnybrook 1.0. Some of you I’ve literally seen more often in the last year than I’ve seen my own dad who lives 20 minutes away from me. That’s wild man.
I love it.
My wife loved finally meeting those of you she’s heard me talk about and share stories about. She has nothing but great things to say about how kind, welcoming, and sincere y’all are as people and friends.
P.S. - clickity clack, the dice games funded me coming back. See y’all for NIT3*.
*Preemptively gunning for yet another special invite.
I feel like this Buc-ee’s list is now going to be everybody’s pre-tournament shopping list for luck.
I stop at Buc-ee’s every time we go to Gulf Shores. It’s pretty wild if you haven’t seen it, man.
Look, the weather sucked. We get it. However, raucous dice games were played, we all embraced the suck together, friendships were made and it was an amazing way to meet people you’ll see more in the future.
Also, running the cornhole/bags tournament was quite a ride. It was a REAL quick way to figure out who the hell everyone was.
Major props to running a seamless tournament. I don’t know how you managed to rig it for @Soly but the fix was absolutely invisible.
He’s from Ohio and @MattyB is an old friend. I can’t help who was facing off with who. Look, I could barely focus on who the hell paid me much less who was playing who.
Some are saying that the championship match was a bit of a crowning after I turned in a Chuck Knoblauch level error to screw my partner @BananaFade who was on an absolute heater and I bounced us from the semis
had @Sando & @astrodupes not put @sundaybag and i both on the right side of the board, we would have won our elite 8 match handily
You started talking about trying to dunk it and all i could think was “Bold strategy Cotton” but i was also convinced that we were going to be there a while if someone didn’t go for it.
Could have been heroic and ended up extremely stinky, but I think our morale was lagging a bit from getting three bags in a row holed against us
S/o @Randy for believing in me
It was a little ironic that it was a 13th hole call-out, just saying. Maybe @Randy is still suspect, but you overcame his deviousness.
Total Worthy Flex there James!!
Good on you with the repeat. So many of us flight winner from last year struggled hard.
I wasnt at the dice table Friday TC… I was losing money on the cornhole boards with @KVV and trying to figure out why @anon47037505 thinks he can beat me in arm wrestling.
oh, and collecting my money Saturday because Lauren took the superior caddy (S/O @djpie )
Not to sidetrack this, but Christina Kim was T1 for a while, then fell out and failed to qualify. Now it looks like she got an invite.
It’s so easy in golf, figured it might be a transferable skill.
Plus, ACC football.
Forget the Tiger ball. This is my favorite new item from the NIT (thanks @MrChickPhilA) #LiveMas
