Went to the simulator to hit balls with my wife recently and we were able to play The Yards! It was pretty fun, the greens were insane!

Following up on this a month and a half later. Bent my wedges 2 degrees flat like heuber recommended. 50-100 yard wedges have gone from the weakest part of my game to my favorite shots of the day.
Didn’t change my swing or action on pitch shots at all, just bent em flat. Perfectly straight divots, low flighted spinny wedges all day long.
I don’t think he’s on here but cheers to Justin

That’s awesome! I was right there for that convo and after he said that it looked so obvious. Made me wonder what simple changes can be made to improve my game immediately.
Moral of story: Get yourself properly fitted. especially with wedges which is often overlooked

No it was all just based on how @jsg_nado set his club on the ground with the wedges. If I remember correctly, the toe of his wedges was way off the ground and he was chunking a lot of them because he was catching heel first (not to call you out Jordan… haha). By making the wedges flatter, no changes need to be made to the setup and the wedges will be more flush with the ground
I’m only speaking for Jordan since he’s probably asleep in SD right now. Also, if his wedge game is fixed I would be terrified to play him for any money

Ah yeah - that makes sense. Can also be solved by opening face a bit and “using the bounce”. Good tip either way. Im a big fan of 1-2deg flat wedges regardless of where you irons sit.

Yes, this was it. A bit of a unique swing problem, maybe won’t help everyone. Posture is not my strong suit. I am kind of hunched over at address with hands close to my body. The heel was digging in the soft florida turf. It was bad, I think I chunked four wedge shots on the front 9 to start the tournament. Not a great look when you are striping the driver and need 35 quota points 
During the round i tried to raise my handle at address and feel it stay raised during the swing. That helped a little but was uncomfy. After bending flat I can make comfy swings without worrying about it.
Let’s just say I’ve played one round in our 2023 roost qualifying and I’m already in third place.

Looking back on the year that was. Although a small moment in the grand scheme of the entire NIT, one of my favorite moments of the year came at The Yards before the party. @Soly @sundaybag @MattyB and myself got deep into strategy about chipping on bermuda at The Yards chipping green. It was one of the most enjoyable 30-45 minutes and set up an unbelievable event.

I could have done that for 5 hours. Meanwhile, a few hours prior at lunch, @Harbo1 tells me he really needs a chipping lesson. Right when we get there he gets FaceTimed into a student teacher meeting and misses the entire 45 minute session. Ooofff
