Did you give them all wedgies and give them swirlies in the locker room when they were done, cuz bruh, that woulda been cluuutch.
Or like last month when Colt (Vice Golf Colt) and I were at Westchester. And the guy (random single on the practice green) I invited to play with us showed up on the first tee with two Miller Lites for Colt and I⦠I turned to Colt and asked āHow much are you comfortable playing for because this guy will play for a lot.ā We had a simple $1.00/point game between me, Colt and Michael. Now, consider, Colt can move it. Heās got a great swing and can take it deep. Iām not as good as Colt, but I can hang on a good day. Sure enough, by the time we get a few one-hitters and beers into our third player, we realize his nickname was āThe Mayorā and he had made a later-in-life run at the Canadian Tour, Asian Tour and essentially was now just playing in money games across the city. My point here is; when youāve been around enough to know the signs, you can see a hustler coming from a mile away. Itās all there. Youāve just got to put it together. I still stay in touch with The Mayor via text. Heās a favorite of mine.
Fred Hoiberg?
Maybe this has already been done (if so, someone point me to that thread) but I for one would enjoy reading stories like these on a regular basis.
Going to derail the thread real quick. Just reread your gambling story from that tournament in Jackson Hole, WY. My anxiety would have been through the roof in that situation.
Thank you
I was just talking to my buddy Alby (who @GRWhitehead and @tj_denawli have played with) who was part of thatā¦Fuck man. Makes me ill just to think about it.
My gui, Iād definitely step in to prevent that. Iāve got a scar on my lip from breaking up a fight in college. In other words, I never let my friends get beat down without taking shots myself.
Just caught up after menās night at my club and want to say I love you all very much. Youāre psychos.
I mean, I came to piuck fights, throw stones and get froggy with anyone who wants to jump. #Refuge.
Back in MN, struggling to on whether to use puck or pick, canāt choose and goes with both.
You sick fuck
North Star thread has turned into a Laz game! Iām so damn happy right now!

For the lazy
Checks in to see how the event went

Iāll go full Minnesotan and just say Keller looked prime and that it looks like @BaxterMSP put on one hell of an event that Iāll be sure not to miss again next year!
I was there for it. No gimmes. And if weāre being real - he could have gone a lot lower with a hot putter. It was the best display of ball striking Iāve ever seen. He had no idea where he stood in the competition until 13. Played the last 5 in -3 under pressure. @Billy_Baroo is decidedly a dog and a killer.
Yes!

(dangā¦maybe not.)
Just in case anyone wants any other info, Iām an open book. But Iām sure most of this thread is pretty sick of hearing about my game.
Didnāt break 100 till I was 18, im 30 now. Broke 90 and 80 for the first time when I was 24 in the same week. Lowest round ever was a +4 74. Broken 80 maybe 7 or 8 times. Lowest I think my handicap has ever gotten was maybe a 13 or 12. I legitimately canāt remember but definitely nothing close to single digits. This isnt the first time Iāve had rounds like this. I have every shot in the bag. Just never all at once. Sometimes it comes together.
Honestly I just had the driver firing on all cylinders on Saturday. Iām the king of 6s with a lost ball OB off the tee. Combine that with the first set of irons Iāve ever had that are fit to me, 2 degrees upright, and things are going to happen. Trust me, I care much much more about seeing my handicap drop below 10 than anything else.
And this is officially the most other people have ever or will ever talk about my golf game.
