This thread is insane. There is no way I am going to keep up with this until spring. I will check back in April and see where we are at. As a local Michigander, I will definitely show up in support.
like a hat-tip to his coming opponent
God that video is so good.
Also, how has everyone failed to mention Roseland is also a Golf AND Curling Club! I’ve always wanted to try curling
You’ve completely buried the lede here.
Roseland Golf AND CURLING Club
Curling for tiebreaks? A bunch of drunk Americans with little to no experience with WAY too much internet fame/infamy on the line?

Hilariously good.
My challenge for @djpie still stands but it’s like 30% picking a random internet fight and 70% just want to talk music with him for an extended period of time
favorite moment might have been the guy aiming 40 yards to the right off the tee, i couldn’t tell which hole he was playing until he finished his swing. That or the socks with slip on sandals look s/o @HibernatingBear
noticed that one too. Hard to judge, though, you know…Canadians
One last note on Roseland that might be appreciated here:
It’s the home to the largest and longest running free golf junior golf tournament in North America. Every August it hosts the “Essex Kent Boys Junior Tournament” (I think theyre somewhere in the 90+ iteration).
3 days, hosts 100+ area juniors. Was a HUGE deal when I was a kid. My fondest memory of that place.
When you can’t decide what hole to play so you just LFF
I kind of feel like we have to go to Canada on Friday or Sunday now. An international Refuge event!
Well you’re riding with me so you don’t have a choice… We’re going.
America’s oldest curling club is Detroit Curling Club (in Ferndale). Their space is rentable, but I’m not sure the ice will still be down in May (they only run it half the year).
