roseland in windsor (only a 5-10 minute drive once you get thru the tunnel) is a great public ross in good shape and would be a good warmup for rackham

Can you drive right into Windsor or do you need to go through customs?
Customs. Pretty sure you’re gonna need your passport.

If you have the new enhanced ID you only need that. Windsor is awesome. Although I haven’t been there since I was 19.

If you are talking about a “REAL ID” compliant driver’s license, this is very much NOT true.

No. REAL ID cards cannot be used for border crossings into Canada, Mexico or other international travel.
If you are talking about the special licenses issued by Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington, then yes, the Enhanced IDs issued by those states are good both ways.

Sorry, I had to go back a numerous replies to find that it was aimed at someone living in Michigan.
But also, I didn’t want anyone to misunderstand what “enhanced ID” meant and show up at the border without the proper documentation…
