Korn Ferry Tour Thread: Savannah

Their transition on their signage and branding is a bit slow. I just bought tickets to the Korn Ferry Tour Stop here in Colorado in July and my tickets still say Web.Com.

Without a doubt, yes.

“He plays on the web”

so do we now say

“He plays on the KoRn”

I really was on board with the KFC tour, but I am dying at this thread name, and think every mention of the Korn Ferry (sic) Tour should be written as such.

Really a recruiting firm. “Organizational consulting” is a fancy way to say they are headhunters.

Here’s a table of the current top 30. I’ve included each player’s age and nationality (if not American); an asterisk indicates that a player has never been a PGA Tour member.

I’m hoping Mav M plays the KFC event here in Colorado in a couple of weeks. I worked for Sun Microsystems for the longest time and his Dad would talk about his kids in just about every all hands or big gathering we had. Kinda feel like I know the kid. (Which I obviously don’t.).

Maybe I’ll bump into Scott M himself.

Top 75 is another important cutoff, too.

Yeah. I think it’s still too early to track that, though.

So Kris Ventura was on track last year to fast track his way through Q-school, but had his status plummet after an apendectomy a few days before Q-school finals meant he finished near the bottom. A sponsor invite and a T3 earlier this year get him better status and now in position to win. Fascinating…

I didn’t know anything about the Nike/Web/Korn Ferry tour until I started following NLU, and tonight I was on the edge of my seat watching Charlie Saxon try to make a playoff. Thanks for adding more sports anxiety to my life!

Interesting top 5 from an Oklahoma viewpoint:

1st Kristoffer Ventura (OSU)
2nd Joshua Creel (UCO)
T3 Ryan Brehm
T3 Charlie Saxon (OU)
T3 Kevin Dougherty (OSU)

That is pretty crazy. Don’t have to look far to find another Oklahoma connection - Tyrone Van Aswegen (OCU) in T14.

All this happening while Rhein Gibson (OC) and Michael Gellerman (OU) took the week off, now standing at 7th and 16th points thanks to their wins earlier this season.

how is ZB doing?

His T11 in Utah moved him to 53rd in points.

Ryan Brehm locked up a PGA Tour return with a win at Peek’n Peak, while runner-up Tim Wilkinson also made a big jump and Maverick McNealy edged back into the top 25. Will Zalatoris secured STM and will be able to play the last five regular-season events.

(And for those wondering about Zac Blair, he finished T9 and moved up to 38th, securing a spot in the Finals.)
