Golf and Photography

Seeing everyone’s golf photos in here and the other photo gallery thread, it makes me mad that I didn’t take my camera out to the course more this past year.

New Years Resolution: Take camera to every round of golf I play next year.

here has been my secret plan. Just be so so horribly bad at taking those types of photos i suggest fingers in front of the lens, photo off centered, or just pics of the ground work great. Do this long enough and then they no longer ask you to take these types of photos and you can just take photos of what you like.

Think rangefinder pouch but for a camera, must be something out there

You voluntarily attended a Chicago Bears football game?
That’s a bold move, cotton.

Yesterday was walking to the Bears game and heard some poor Instagram boyfriend exhale and snap back “just keep walking, I’ll take more” because he was clearly tasked with getting a photo of her walking to the stadium from behind.

Society is doomed.

Sand Valley - Last week of the season

Staff ran out and put the lights in the cups to putt in the dark.

The “Island hole” on Mammoth gets all the attention, but this one is the real show.

This should be a thing everywhere

agree every putting course/green needs to have these for nightly shenanigans and the green doesnt need stadium lighting just enough to get a little sense of your bearings

Just a couple from the X100S and my trip to the UK last November. The first two are of the same hole (I forget which one) at Silloth on Solway. One of the coolest looking greens I’ve played into, and really delivered a full links experience with intermittent rain and constant wind at 30+ mph. The last one is from Prince’s on the Himalayas nine. Once again, I can’t remember what hole. I did some light post work in Lightroom and stitched the panos together there. That shot at Prince’s is one I’ve meant to hang up for a while in the home office.

Try having this when your wife is a professional photographer. And pregnant. :man_facepalming::joy:

I just read Amazon is having a big photography sale. I haven’t looked to close, but it sounds like there are some pretty legit deals out there. Here’s the link to the Canon sale:

Stumbled into this thread today. Picked up a Sony a7 ii for a good deal on black Friday. Just getting into photography and this is the first real camera. Thus far really happy with the camera. Saw a couple of post mentioned Adobe Lightroom, would you guys recommend that over Adobe Photoshop?
