@PTM is such a gracious tournament organizer that he moved the date up a week!
Iāll be coming from the city, Iād say 8am is not too early
Love to see it!
Moving off the wifeās bday puts this in play for me.
I believe the new date is a green light for me.
Love to see it.
Bourbon for Burban.
Fellow polite Midwesterners,
Confirmed with Dave and we are a go.
What : The 2nd Annual Burban Memorial NLU Golf Classic
When : April 16th, tee times staring at 9am
Where : Spring Valley Country Club in Salem Lakes, WI
Why: The Langford Lancers wish to continue dominance over the Moreau Marauders
Format: On top of greens fees, every golfer chips in $20. Weāve got two teams, Langford Lancers and the Moreau Marauders, named after the famous course architects. The game is 4-ball match play. Each match is worth 3 points. One point for winning the first 9, one point for winning the second 9 and one point for winning the complete match. Team with the most points takes the pot.
Handicaps: This event is for everyone, I will group like handicaps together for comfort levels. All matches will be based off of handicaps and pops will be given based on your handicap. Itās fun, itās relaxing and itās a great time. This was not only the first NLU event I hosted, but the first I ever attended, donāt be intimidated to come out.

Iām interested in attending this event, is it just 18 holes with tee times starting around 9am? Anything else on the agenda?
@SirPatrick_1, come on down.
Donāt have tee times locked down yet, but weāll go off around 9am. Itās a 18-hole team event. Last year, a dozen or so guis went back out for another 18 holes. I stuck around in the bar hitting up some Old Fashioneds with some other guis.
@PTM - think we can get some comped bottles of Elijah Craig from NLU for the Burban toasts on 14 tee?
@Tron or @MerchCzar,
Any Elijah hook-up? Hereās why, the course has a horse named Burban buried under a tee box.
Then thereās the history. Spring Valley was closed during World War II and reverted to pasture. Nancy Bairstow, granddaughter of the owner, often rode her horse, Burban, out to what is now the 14th tee, where she whiled away the hours reading books and sharing peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches with her beloved liver-colored Morgan.

If not, Iāll have Mrs. PTM make plenty of PB&J sams.
You can probably pick up a bottle at the liquor store down the street for $35.
Thatās my backup plan. Antioch Fine Wine and Liquor is a great stop for those coming up.
Posted in the Mudness but reposting here:
Well gang, some bad news. I fractured my ankle last night during a broomball game, and looks like Iām going to be out of commission for some time. Doing okay - some pain, but Iāll survive. Though it looks like six weeks on crutches + six weeks in a boot, so I donāt think Iāll be able to take full on hacks by the middle of April. Please feel free to give away my spot to one of the alternates - may he defend our title in honor!
Billy do you need an alternate? This is no longer spring break so I could most likely make it nowā¦.

@PTM are you capping this event? Accidentally forgot to sign up until now.
Nope, get yourself in there.
How late do we need to commit?
Probably need to get SV a count in about a month.
Sign on up. Great way to get involved. Multiple MU guys in the field.
Thought I had committed already, realized I didnāt, in and ride for captain @PTM
