Courses you want to knock out in 2018

#83

Must be nice to have a realistic chance to play all of those first three! Reading Kyle Porters write up of Augusta gave me chills last year. That could be you @Soly!

#84

Are you guys going to the Masters this year, if so I suggest a round at Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, SC. It’s a MacKenzie and such a blast to play.

#85

These are all locked in and booked for 2018:

  1. Bandon Dunes (all four courses)
  2. Torrey Pines South
  3. Prairie Dunes
  4. Southern Hills
  5. Colonial Country Club
  6. Dalhousie Golf Club

Ok that was 9 courses but I dont care. I love golf. And I am about to have a kid and my amazing wife is letting me travel a lot to check these boxes before due date!!

#86

I’m keeping mine realistic for this year as I’m planning a Scotland/Ireland trip in 2019. So for 2018:

Bethpage Black
Streamsong Red
Streamsong Blue
Belgrade Lakes GC
Old Sandwich

#87

Another Ohio guy here:

Muirfield Village (I WILL get to play here this year for the first time. Just need to pin down at date)
Moraine (Hoping to playing in the US Am qualifier there)
Inverness
Camargo
Double Eagle
The Golf Club
Canterbury
Springfield CC
Firestone South

#88

chicago trip this summer and calling in favors to hit:

medinah
chicago gc
butler
shoreacres

playing streamsong red and black this weekend

#89

We need to cross some of these off together

#90

Ones I have planned:

Streamsong (end of feb)
Sand Valley (end of april)- & Mammoth Dunes preview
Stoatin Brae (beginning of may)

Ones I would like to hit:

Loop @ Forest Dunes
Arcadia Bluffs
Erin Hills
Whistling Straits

Any other suggestions driving distance from Chicago?

#91

If you’re thinking of other places in Wisconsin…

The Bull in Sheboygan is a solid value (and close to Whistling Straits). If you are in Kohler, make sure you play the River at Blackwolf Run. I actually liked it better than the Straits course.

Others throughout the state that you should consider if you’re willing to drive a bit… Lawsonia Links, Sentry World, Sand Valley/Mammoth Dunes

If you’re looking for other places in Michigan… we played Tullymore last year and enjoyed it. I would also recommend staying the night at Forest Dunes so that you can play the loop both ways, and the original course there as well.

#92

I’m typing a cease and desist letter.

#93

I’ve got a pretty bold list that, if it all happens, shall be a dadgum banner year:

Essex
TCC
Shoreacres
Winged Foot
Southampton

If all of that happens, y’all can shoot be dead upon completion.

#94

Have a trip with my brother planned at the end of April down to FL so we’ll start there:

  • All 3 Streamsong courses
  • Kiawah Ocean course (we’re heading to Charleston after Streamsong)
  • Pine Valley (hoping to get another invite this year)
  • Bethpage Black (no plans yet but I’m only ~3.5 hours away)

If I could knock those out it would be a pretty great year TBH

#95

Garden City
Quaker Ridge
Cal Club
Sand Valley
ShoreAcres

#96

In the Milwaukee area - Brown Deer is a great value and where Tiger announced he was turning pro. Also the Bog is beautiful.

#97

In no particular order:

Kinglsey Club
Sweetens Cove
Dunes Golf & Beach Club
Tobacco Road

#98

First 3 are booked, just need to find time for the other 2:

Sea Island
TPC Sawgrass
Cuscowilla
Mammoth Dunes
Links at Lawsonia

#99

If you come to Phoenix, I’ll happily drive you up to Quintero. And drop you off there. Not playing it.

#100

play pasa you will never forget it for the rest of your life.

#101

Making my first ever trip to Bandon, so I’m very excited to play all 4 courses!

Going next week. I can barely sleep.
