- The north front 9 just reopened. But the back won’t be ready for a while.
It’s real. And it’s spectacular.

Joined the nest recently, going to try and play all the events in California in 2022. This one should be easy to get to, wife’s family is in Sacramento. Will discuss.
Course looks super fun!

3/26 on the schedule!!
Signed up! May be one of those peeps that drop out (it’s a long way down from OR) but my heart is still in the Bay so I’d love to attend if possible.
Here’s the sales pitch: Great Bandon prep for April
I’ll be driving down from Seattle, hear ya. Shall we meet in Weed for, um, coffee?
For those of us not local to the area. Anyone recommend an area to stay? Will be bringing the lady along so maybe around some stuff to do for her as well.
I wouldn’t recommend necessarily staying in Alameda or even Oakland per se (though there are certainly good hotels in Oakland)…with the lady in tow, it might make sense to stay in SF and drive out for the tourney (or catch a ride from a local). Staying in the Union Square area in SF is fairly touristy but then, you’ll be a tourist!
What about like Walnut Creek/Lafayette? Food scene seems to be good there. Would assume hotels are abundant.
Looking for the mega experience or budget. Or Strapped Luxury… I’m all about the recommendations depending on what your time frame is and what you’re looking to accomplish. Would love to help provide info.
As mentioned earlier, the Hampton Inn on Harbor Bay Parkway is like halfway between the airport and the golf course, is in a quiet safe part of town and you’re only a few minutes away from downtown Alameda, which is nothing like downtown Oakland or SFO, but has many nice little restaurants and bars. That would be my top choice but depends on what you’re looking for.
Jack London Square is the trendier option on the East side of the bay. More fancy dining options. Also more $$$. I don’t have any specific accommodations to recommend there though.
Speaking of local recs…Trying to figure how we can make horn bbq a part of this….
Yes please
If you are coming with a significant other, staying in SF is the way to go. There will be stuff for them to do during the day.
Jack London square is cool and up and coming, and some good restaurants, but I don’t think it’s a good place to stay. Friends who live there, might walk to things every now and then, but generally it’s much safer to drive. Nido’s backyard is a pretty solid Mexican place in jack London.
Lafayette and Walnut Creek are nice, but they are full on suburbs. Parada in a Walnut Creek is a fantastic Peruvian place.
Omicron took the starch out of the High Schools Spring Break Baseball trip, so I threw my hat in the ring. Is it still overbooked right now?
Sounds like a blast! Can we bring a non-nest member?

Missed this part. Filled out the form for myself and my wife. We’re interested in receiving literature about playing in this event.
Thanks for everyone signing up in the interest form! We’ll be sending out a blast soon for folks to pay/officially sign up. We have more interest than we have spots, so some folks will be waitlisted. Stay tuned, more to come here in the next week or so.
How do i get on this waitlist?
