Sent a text to my friend that used to be a meteorologist for an airport this is the forecast he gave us
Friday afternoon possibly some light showers but you should be able to play, gusty winds tho… Saturday should be chilly but perfect, mid 50s after a start in the low 40s… Sunday morning dry still but some showers in the afternoon still nothing heavy. In the 60s with gusty winds after noon. Not a terrible forecast if you like cool temperatures. Enjoy it!

I’ll go into some detail.
Looking like a front coming thru on late Thursday night into Friday. Thursday will be warm, but the front may come thru over-night.
Friday : The high temp might be when you wake up. Should the front come thru as forecast winds will be gusty out of the north in the morning, but maybe not that bad thru the day 15-20mph reducing to 5-10mph. Be prepared to play golf in the mid 50s->upper 40s (decreasing into the day). Precip, hopefully light, chances thru the day as rain seems focused behind the front. The faster the front moves, the better.
Saturday : Behind the front you get some high pressure. Cloudy, but no rain. Lower 40s in the AM increasing to low 50s by afternoon. Moderate winds.
Sunday : Lower 50s in the AM, increasing to lower 60s. by the afternoon. winds likely switching back to S’ly so that will bring some moisture in, small chance showers,.

And I have arrived at my gate for Springfield! Getting in ~6p local time. Anything I should do this evening? I know nothing about Springfield if there are any sights to see, foods to eat, putt putt courses to try…
Alternative is to maybe drive down to Branson tonight to get it out of the way. Not sure if there’s any night activities on site at the resort.

Going with mom and sister at the folks club. Sister took up the game this summer, so she’s naturally super excited about the game.
Any other pairing I’d say join us. Not trying to overwhelm the girl, she will probably be nervous as heck with me out there.
This is supposed to be pretty cool but ::shrugs:: COVID and such so not sure what they are doing at the moment
Also, Springfield stans for something called Springfield-style cashew chicken if that sounds up your alley.
The Brown Derby is a nice wine/beer/liquor store with a deli in it, pretty neat little place.
I’m sure some locals can chime in too, I’ve just visited a handful of times.
