What: 6 month quota competition. 5 rounds. Call your shot before the round. Bonus for rounds played at another roosts event or by a matchplay against an Aloha Member

When: January 1st - June 15th

Where: Everywhere

FAQS

  • Event will run Jan 1 – June 15th
  • During this time, you must log 5 quota rounds
  • Rounds must be declared prior to round taking place
  • Declared is letting anybody know you’re about to play. I don’t care if it’s a text, email or a discord post. Just make it public.
  • Each Quota will add to the next in a cumulative manner.
  • You must sign up for the event in UKG. Beyond that we will be operating off a Google Sheet.
  • Rounds can be played at any time. If there is snow on the ground, play when there is no snow on the ground. You just gotta have 5 rounds by June 15th.
  • Rounds can be posted to Google Sheet or Unknown Golf. I would prefer UKG but understand if you would rather not.
  • Non-Aloha Members Welcome to Participate but cannot qualify for RCC
  • A bonus of 5 points will be applied to any Aloha Member playing in another roosts event.
  • A bonus of 5 points is available for winning a match play event vs. another roost member.
  • Must be a Nest Member (in good standing to participate in the RCC). You can be an exiled member to compete in the Loco Moco Cup.
  • You can only qualify for the RCC if you’re an Aloha Crew member. Non-Members are welcome to play but are ineligible for the RCC. Go qualify with your own roost.
  • Kahuku Rule: Round can be played on a 9-hole course (played twice).
  • Buy-In: 20 Dollars (50% to winner. 50% to Charity)
  • All Proceeds go to GooseTrego and Keep Showing Up.
  • Payments Due: March 31st to @ryan-morrison-85 on Venmo
  • Signups to Open Dec 29th

DBL DBL Announcement

With the gracious support of Aloha member @Forty I am happy to announce that the 2026 iteration of the DBL DBL (3x3) will officially be considered the Aloha Crew Major.

As a major that means that the winner of the DBL DBL will not only receive the Champions Belt and the official title of “Lord or Lady” but will also receive a 2026 NIT Invite.

I would like to publicly thank Forty for being so gracious to extend his tournament to us for this year.

Sign-Ups will continue via the google sheet Forty created and a Unknown Golf link has been created. Scoring and setup remain the same. Forty is still the boss. Play fast or he’ll be up in your grill.

I am deeply trying to figure out if this thread is an elaborate bit I’m not in on or if as a resident of Hawaii I need to actually sign up for the Loco Moco.

An aside: I’ll be doing at least one 36 hole day at Kahuku (maybe two) the weekend of January 17-18 while my partner is on the continent.

It’s not a bit (it started as one 3 years ago) Aloha is for everyone who’s on an island away from other groups. Whether it’s Oahu, middle of nowhere Kansas or rural Minnesota.

Will be running this friendly event as a way for us all to compete in our own way.

Will also be doing a virtual event and in 2027 hosting an event on the 9th island.

Sadly a weekend I’m stuck at the convention center watching my daughters volleyball team.
