I promise I’ll be on my best behavior for Maxamania when I attend.
You are just going to drive around moderating people’s comments aren’t you
Saving all the shenanigans for the Ope-In, as it should be
Cannot wait to drive that cart for him.
When I try to affect the conversation in real life
Slide into the DMs and we can cook up some controversy for after the event. Should be fun!
Who are we going to have make the incendiary post? It has to be someone who wasn’t there so it gets spicy from the start!
Can’t fathom what a Canadian controversy would be like
Also from Indiana. Can confirm- 4/6 with 6 always on bottom is the ONLY WAY.
Unless you’re on the barn. Then 4 and 6 are even. Got crooked ears? Make sure the 4 is tucked in the higher one.
Something involving hockey, Tim Horton’s, mooses, and Justin Trudeau.
I kid, I kid. Love my Canadian brethren and sistren.
Seriously though two of things would start something.
The amount of drama that comes from handicapped hit and giggles is mind blowing.
Things will quickly get oot of control.
And we only got 85% of our (vanity) handicaps
I learned to play in Indiana going to a townie bar with my now wife. I embarrassed her so many times with bad euchre etiquette. I once accidentally trumped her and one of our opponents said, “they’ll cut your thumb off at the K of C for that stuff.”
Sir, this is a wendys
I want to preface this by saying I barely interacted with the person in question and this thread was the first I heard of the incident at hand or any cheating allegations, other than the standard tongue-in-cheek ribbings for sandbagging.
That being said: actions, words, and attitudes like this are exactly the sort of things that make my baby sister, who is enamored with the game of golf, terrified to go with me to the course or the driving range. Anyone who feels the same way towards women or beginners on the course can DM me or meet me in person at a future event, I would love to exchange some words. It’s also wild that this is all in reference to a team that didn’t even finish in the top 10. It played virtually no factor in the final standings, and if that’s the kind of thing you go refuge events for, I think you’re misguided anyways.
On the flip side, thank you @Big_RanDeer for setting up an awesome event. It was great to make new friends and see familiar faces, and I can’t wait to see what you might cook up next year. Sorry @bwolve had low phone battery Sunday.
We’re not allowing pages from the Necronomicron to be posted in the Refuge going forward. Cast your spells somewhere else.
