My wife’s coming, but she golf’s. We are figuring between spa, putting and short course, etc. She will be plenty entertained. Or if not, this trip becomes the answer to “why don’t I get to come on any of your golf trips?”.

It’s really win, win. I’m already laying the groundwork for the conversation about when I said I would only do 3 golf trips next year, that this counts as a couples trip and therefore does not count against my 3 golf trips.

Got the 100% go ahead from the wife today. I told her about the trip last week but she never responded to that text. I took that as a solid yes and I was right 
And I have a potential roommate lined up as long as his wife says yes too!

I don’t mind sharing a room at all with a buddy on a golf trip. Would I prefer my own room? For sure but if it’s the difference of $1,000 a person over a few days or a week, it seems like I could find better ways to spend that money.
The days of sharing a BED with a buddy to save cash are long over, however.

As I get closer to getting off the waitlist. Are west coasters flying out Thursday? I’m looking at possible red eye to not have to take an extra day off. Fly into Tampa and land in the am. Not ideal to play on red eye type sleep but may be able to get an upgrade in class thanks to #status. Thoughts?
