My worse for the wear days are behind me, but It will definitely be a bit brisk, even for my northern self
One last shot, anyone wanna get a short trip in Nov. 10th-13th,14th?
Sweetens or anywhere else, my last chance until Feb. or so
Tons of great public courses in the north Dallas/Allen/McKinney/Wylie area. Those are the courses that started my obsession 10 years ago. Pecan Hollow and Oak Hollow (shoutout head pro Steve) will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m now living in Columbus, OH and don’t get back to the Dallas-area often since my parents moved to Lubbock and that’s where I spend the holidays. Would love to meet up with any West TX refugees next month for a round!
Lol welcome back @birdiesforthebears
Imma big time lurker round these parts
Lurkers are refugees too! Mosey on over to the WWTBAM thread next week, lurkers are very welcome there
Not saying lurkers aren’t welcome! I just thought it was funny that the first post in 11 months was deleted
Grew up playing Pecan Hollow in the 80’s. Just in the past couple of years I’ve been re-introduced to it in a traveling Friday group. The new routing is much improved and the greens are always fast and pure. Love playing there
Fantastic weather tomorrow guys, anyone wanna get a round together in the dfw area?
Memorial Park is now open for business.
No more lottery system for tee times!
I’m probably on the shelf until December for golf. It’s a gorgeous day today.
Anybody gotten out to Irving Golf Club after the renovation? I never played it when it was Twin Wells but I’ve heard it’s in pretty good shape now.
I’m down to play today free after 2 or so.
@ReidGraber I played Irving about a month ago still needs some time on the fairways but greens and layout are great or at least way better than what it used to be.
Looks like you have to be ready at 6am 3 days out to get a tee time. Things filled up pretty quickly the first two days.
yeah i just checked and there’s only tee times available after 4pm. This will sort itself out once our weather turns grey
New guy here from Midland. I’ve made the trek out to Lajitas to play Black Jack’s Crossing a few times and have loved it every time. Definitely a fun place to go if you can figure out how to get there.
Corpus Christi checking in. If you like the most confusing course set up in the world come play Northshore Country Club in Portland. Calls itself a links course but everything is forced carries with a pretty steady 15-25mph wind. I can vouch for a couple courses in the central TX area too like Falconhead, Vaaler Creek, Avery Ranch.
Love the user name.
Shout out to the hometown right there. New Seminole road trip buddy @Snellspace?
