There’s a little sumthin’ in/on the bag that I think you are really going to enjoy…
Good to know (set #1) is in ND and ready to roll!

I’m going to save the suspense until you can show whatever it is to me in person. Stoked already.
Having had a night to sleep on yesterday’s round, I am fully back in on the blades and know that nothing yesterday was about them. It’s all about me. I promise you all that I will get in a couple of easy range sessions to reset myself, and I will come in ready to make sweet, sensual, shitty art with the blades all weekend long.
Also, I’m going to probably bring the traveling lefty 4 iron and PW because they’re just so damn sexy and I have to show them off to the cult. Not bringing the whole set, but I can throw two in my bag.
Do what you must. I suppose if don’t find out that the driver is snapped at the hosel until Friday AM, then we can just go bladey 80 ALL effin’ weekend! That plus the baked in excuse… now kinda regretting even packing the heat…
Gotta have it in case. No reason to leave it completely.
I was thinking I may go Blade Challenge at Meadows and Hawley, but we’ll see. I think it’s doable at both.
Okay. Who wants to give me a bunch of strokes and duel next week?
Grint has different yardages so either Grint is outdated or Blue Golf is. Either way. Bogey is the play.
Oh god, don’t even bring up 2. My nemesis.
Circle is the tee box. You look straight down the cart path (black line). All OB left of the path and it all flows into the OB. Red staked high grass right. I generally just hit a monster slice into that circle and then punch out, settle for bogey. If you can control a fade, it’s one of the easier holes. If you are terrified of a snap hook, it’s a nightmare.
Nothing quite as fun at MCC as going eagle - double on 1 and 2.
This made me realize how much of a renovation they did a while ago. Only like 4 of those holes are the same par now.
I had no idea, can’t wait to check it out. I lived in Moorhead for 4 years but never got to play there as a poor college kid. Now thanks to the powers of the internet, I will.
I was so rattled by the mention of #2 that I didn’t even realize that card was wrong. Hahahaha.
This hole looks like my nightmare. OB all down the left is a TOUGH scene for me and my aggressive “fade”.
I’m not going to lie to you, DrJ, this course may be a bit of a challenge for ya. Hahahaha.
Most courses are.
I still had Google up after a quick meeting and was scrolling through the pics.
Here is 2, red is the tee box. Depending on where the flag is, it can be a fucking nightmare green, too!
Which is of course, fine. I am still relatively new at this and a high capper.
One of the weirdest things for me is how little I care about golf courses, but how stoked I am for you all to come and see ‘my’ course. I can’t really explain it, but I’m really looking forward to that. I love hosting people out there.
I don’t think the greens will be quite as fast as they have been all summer (it rained here twice from May to August) since we’ve gotten a lot of rain lately, but the rough should come up a bit and I think it’ll be playing pretty tough. Last year they kept the rough longer and the membership complained so much they trimmed it up this year. Hahahaha.
But I think playing it twice, back to back, you’ll get a feel for how it can really kick your ass if you’re not in the right spot. And I think it’s pretty deceptive judging it by the card, or even just looking down a fairway. Someone will go low because it’s gettable if you’re doing it right, but it can be a fuckin’ grind, too.
Or you’ll all hate it and you can eat shit. Either way!
Stoked, dudes.
I’m excited to get a sense of it so that when I see your Grint updates I’ll have an idea of the holes you are playing.
There’s at least 4-5 holes out there that are pretty short/normal looking holes on the card that give me nightmares. 7,10,15,16, and 18 come to mind.
