Wish they had this online for Springfield
I think Chad was able to find something last year for this.
Also this leaderboard at Springfield is nuts. Ejections occurring.
For tomorrow, safe to assume the range is open right? Can we grab a quick lunch there or should I handle that on the drive up?
And dumb question, but will I be escorted off the property if I put my shoes on in the parking lot? ![]()
I probably owe out some of that information later today.
Yes for the range. Add some extra time on the front because the range is on the far side of the property.
No one will hunt you down if you change shoes in the parking lot.
I don’t know if they will have lunch service tomorrow. They are usually closed Mondays but obviously with today I’m not sure. The bar will be open and the patio is open for post round beverages.
Do we have tee times/pairings for this? Or should we just check in at 12 and be ready by 1?
Got so wrapped up today I forgot to post them. Check in will start at 12:00. I would like everyone to be able to be at the range no later than 12:40 for a group photo. More details to come via email.
Email out with other info including what tees you are playing from. If you have any questions or need to make changes, please reach out.
I was not able to snag a pin sheet today. You are all going to get to play it semi-blind unless someone else happened to grab one.
What a great day yesterday was - had a blast getting beat up by the SCC rough and greens with @Pcocchi @nlaslow54 @rran621.
Thanks again @PersistentlyOverPar, will keep taking the first Tuesday of June off as SCC keeps hosting the Sectionals and as long as you’ll have us back! Can’t wait to see photos from today (and Findlay, too)!
Watch this space. Updates coming.
Spent part of today working on logistics to attend this year.
I’ve already been doing PTO gymnastics at work after @cstevens3407 shared this one with me.
For myself and others playing in The Ham and Egg event at Virtues that will be 2 OATW events within 4 days. At 2 really solid courses. Cant wait.

Another qualifier is a blast. Really hope Chad has enough spots available for those of us that have played in it previously to join again.

There’s no feeling quite like lipping out a chip-in, then having a 60 yard shot coming back hahah
Getting up and down from the mulch in the flower bed above 18 green to that front pin is without a doubt the best up and down I’ve ever had.
Why are we doing this on a Tuesday?
Because this isn’t casual golf.
Do you want to test yourself — or just talk about it?
Do you want to see what your number looks like when every miss is punished?
Do you enjoy the uncomfortable?
Are you actually a sicko?
Ever wondered how you’d stack up against players chasing a U.S. Open spot?
The Tuesday after U.S. Open Qualifying at Springfield Country Club, we’re running the Fourth Annual Almost Qualifier — an OATW Signature Event set up to mirror USGA conditions.
Same course.
Same qualifying pins.
Same greens.
Zero mercy.
This is your measuring stick. No gimmicks. No member bounce. Just you and a scorecard that tells the truth.
Spots are limited to 16 with the possibility for a few more if filled before the end of April. Eight spots are being reserved for first timers until May 4th.
