to be fair to the LEO side, we only show up when someone calls us. Its easy to play hero, save the day, etc when morality lines are rarely in play. For cops I’ve known, what is morally correct vs the law often comes into play, and I thankfully don’t have to worry about that often.

I assume due to the horrendous and life threatening injuries he sustained he must have been somehow prevented from simply letting go of the car
