I see your 9 wood, and raise you a VAS 9 wood + a PingEye2 6 wood…I qualified for this NIT with these in the bag (and yes, both were used).
Corey Pavin sees you and loves to see VAS still in the wild
We are a week away from NIT week.
Only posting the reminder cause the Post Anything thread isn’t great today.
Also would like to take this opportunity to remind people that there are two spots available at TPC Scottsdale Stadium at 8:00am on Thursday, October 24.
I am carefully preparing by not swinging a club since Sept 29th. That’s how this works right? If you forget how to swing in totality you can’t have bad habits or bad swing thoughts!?
I just snuck a last round in this weekend and shot my best score of the year - actually, the best score of my life.
Really setting myself up to shoot a million in AZ.
Edit* maybe need to work on my mental game, is what I’m realising.
Sir, we are NOT a week away. My to-do list requires three more days until I will accept such excitment.
Thank you…
Question: Is there a post or FAQ section that will help someone better understands the NLU event universe?
From what I gather the NIT consists of winners from each of the Roost events and other distinguished guests?
If that’s true, I’m less clear about the “Club Championship” qualifying criteria.
Finally, seems there are unsanctioned events. Is there a cheat sheet for this madness?
I’m just excited that I’ll be in Phoenix in 4 days.
Roosts are the local “clubs” around the US/Canada/Europe/UK
Get involved with roosts to play in Roost majors (where NIT spots are awarded) and other season long competitions where you can qualify to represent your Roost at a regional competition each year. (Or just play golf with other like minded people in your geographic region for fun). NLU also has 1-2 events a year that we host for Nest members that have NIT spots attached ie: summer festival, Donnybrook, etc…
Roost teams who win their regionals then all come to the Roost Club Championship to compete against other regional winning teams.
People from all around the Refuge organize events outside of Roosts as well that are just to get people together to play golf. Usually can find these pop up in the events threads here.
Turns out snagging some Aguila tee times was easier than anticipated. The max amount of foursomes it allowed me to book was three.
I wasn’t sure what time people were getting into Phoenix, so I got two back-to-back times early/mid in the morning and then a third that’s a couple hours later in case the early tee times are too early for anyone who wants to check out the course.
Tee times I reserved:
8:32
8:40
10:56
Folks who have expressed interest so far (apologies if I missed anyone):
@ForWhomThePuttRolls @Rhyno515 @trevorrabb @duncmitchell @jsg_nado @durrtydurr @bobbyt990
I should be good for one of the early times, think we land at 6:30.
Thanks for booking! I’m in for one of the early tee times.
Also in for an early spot please! Thanks for booking.
Pencil me in for one of the early times as well. Much appreciated!
So to really spite me, my company booked our sales meeting in Scottsdale to start on Oct 27th. As if not qualifying wasn’t enough pain already.
If anyone else is in the area, I would love to have a couple of unqualified Refugees join us instead of randoms. Tee times are still out there for the other two spots.
Saturday 10/26 11:51 - Quintero (1 spot left)
Sunday 10/27 7:30 - Troon North
@Privatecollection I’m sure it doesn’t matter right now but this same issue is happening again (and has been for a while) in Unknown Golf. More just an fyi in case you didn’t know
Makes the links in the events information section not work
An invitational if you will…
Are you viewing this on a desktop or mobile? I talked to UKG and it seems you might need to update to the latest version of the app.
Its working fine for me when I log in as a participant.
App last updated on Sept 27th (iOS) and is having this issue. App does not show an available update. The issue also shows up on desktop site
