Depends, can’t go wrong with anything in the Stockyards or West 7th.

I’m currently a grad student at TCU, I’m partial to West 7th and on University by the campus. Colonial is a stones throw from campus. The Courtyard Marriott on University is a short walk to the Woodshed (great vibe, on the Trinity River) and a 2 minute drive to the club.

Not a lot of hotels in the West 7th area but that is where it is at. If you are staying more down town then make sure you finish your night off a Studio 80 or Scat Jazz Lounge before stumbling home.

Also $80 a night, which is pretty clutch.

Also, love seeing this on a Thursday. Doesn’t count as a golf trip if it’s not a weekend.

One thing that stinks about the courtyard is that they don’t have free breakfast.

This is where the Spring Hill suites or Fairfield comes in in the Marriott brand.

There’s a Fairfield right off I30 and University.

Wait, I was under the impression that food and lodging were paid…

Can anyone clear this up?

If we don’t end up at Heim afterwards this will be a yuuuuge miss. @Tron needs to experience the bacon burnt ends.

That and they have the best whiskey pricing in FW.

It also does not let me search for my name in the registration box. Thanks for the help!

Same for 'Straya…

Fort Worth local here. Hope to see everyone at Colonial, but if I’m not selected, will be happy to offer local knowledge for the travelers.

We’re actually sending NetJets to pick everyone up separately and then drop you off that night, so there’s no accommodation costs. /s

Yes, as stated on the event info page in golf genius the golf and subsequent BBQ are complimentary, travel costs for out of towners are on own.

For the Strapped Boys, I’m willing to barter two open top bunks at my house for a place in the event. They can fight amongst themselves for the choice of dragon or flower-themed bedding.

Really just depends on your budget and vibe you are looking for. I’m sure the C-Suite will be staying at the Omni downtown while the Strapped Boys would probably be at a Airbnb in the Near Southside district. But yeah the Courtyard across from the Woodshed might be the most convenient.
