We played with these in a hickory tournament a couple years ago. That specific ball is not available but they have several other āhickory appropriateā balls.

Any out of towners staying through Friday and want to get another round in the next morning? Trying to decide if Iāll bring my clubs with me or just ship them through to where Iāll be headed next.

I can get a tee time or two out at Rockwood for Friday morning depending on interest. Itās def the best muni in Ft. Worth IMHO.

Hopefully they have the 8th green repaired and uncovered soon. Played there a couple of weeks ago and they had a temporary green set up. Apart from that, the rest of the course was in great shape!

I played the Rock today. 8th hole temporary green was gone. Back to the regular green on 8. Aside from a shut down tee box on 12, the course was in pretty good shape.

There is a Big Hickory group in Baton Rouge. Many of them use Callaway super soft or the Wilson Balls that advertise as the softest. It funny because they also get them in bright colors, even while wearing the era specific clothing

I am around on Friday and can probably grab another guy if needed. Getting a ton of rain in FW now so the rock should be in good shape by then.

Got the email over the weekend. When it says the format is team competition, does that mean a points system, a scramble, something else? And for walking, Iām guessing weāll have caddies or are we carrying?

no caddies. Will have push carts available, also the hickory bags have half as many clubs so itās a light lift.
